I was just looking on delta's web site and they say that only 1st and business class passengers and also members of their frequent flyer programms can check in at terminal 2 for all destinations. My friends are neither. Does it mean they will have to go to term3? Now,I will check them and their bags online before they even arrive to US (24 hours before the flight). I dont quite understand what a luggage oline check in is (never used it myself. yet.)Will I be able to print out a label wich attaches to the luggage or something like that? If so, were would be the best place to check their bags in?other then airflot connecting flights counter. Thanks again.

Thank you so much!!! You have really helped me!

My daughter will be arriving in terminal 4 JFK at 8:20pm and will have to go to terminal 8 to board another flight at 10pm, Is 1hr 40mins enough to board the flight? Can her luggage be checked through to her destination instead of having to check-in her luggage again at JFK? The airliners are AA from Barbados amd KLM from JFK to Nigeria.

Thanks

If I correctly understood she comes from Nigeria to JFK on KLM and then transfer on AA to Barbados?
That time gap should be OK as long as KLM is on time.
KLM(in Nigeria) is the one that holds the answer of your question if the bags can be checked through the final destination.

We'll arrive JFK airport terminal 1 by CI 12 at 10.05 pm by mid June & we need an information what is the best transfer to reach our hotel/Sheraton Newark ? And how much is it cost ?
Tks

How many people are going there? It looks like taxi/private car at that time will be your best choice(unless you want to deal with public transportation). Let me know.
JFK_E

only two of us, how much is the approx taxi fare from JFK terminal 1 to Sheraton Newark cost at night time (around 11 PM) ?

It is on the meter and expect to pay around $80-$100.
The most economic way is to take public transportation.
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to 42nd street stop. At Port Authority Bus Terminal take NJ Transit bus to Newark Airport. Total cost:
$5.00(Airtrain)+$2.25(Subway)+ $5.75(NT transit bus)=$13

HI JFK_EMPLOYEE

i am hoping some one would respond for my request. I travelled from LA GUARDIA airport to JFK(QATAR AIRWAYS TERMINAL) in NYAS on APR 16th 2010. I am the last person on the bus when i got down i realized one baggage was missing.i have given complaint to Port Authority police.I am having no clue how it got missed. Any idea to whom i should contact for the missing baggage in this scenario and to give the descriptions of my baggage.

It has some memories that is not worthy to lose them.

Did you actually load your bags on the bus? May be you left the bag at LGA?
Contact LGA Lost and Found or NYAS(718-875-8200 x 110).
Since you have found that the bag is missing at JFK, it is less likely that the bag is in Lost&Found at JFK(unless somebody that got off before you took it).

Hi my son has a Jet blue flight on Tuesday may 4th from FLL to JFK arriving at 9am. He flys out with SAA to JHB at 11:15am. Does he have enough time? Also can he check his baggage all the way through with Jet Blue? Lastly how does he get from Jet blue terminal to SAA terminal within JFK? Regards TG

He has enough time to transfer.
Can he check his bags all the way through - it depends on Jet Blue. Ask them about that possibility in FLL.
Jet Blue is at T5 and SAA terminal is T4 - he can either walk over or take Airtrain on the third floor of T5,on track 2 and get off next stop.

Hi,

I'm from the UK, travelling LON-JFK arriving 23:05 and then connecting to a 05:45 flight the next day JFK-MIA-BZE.

Considering the time needed for clearing customs that night and checking-in the next day, what's the best thing to do with the likely 3 hour lay-over?

I assume staying in a hotel will take another hour away in transfers/check-in etc?

Thanks v much!

With that much time is better to stay at the terminal till your next flight. You have to be at the terminal for your flight to MIA at least 2.5 hours in advance.
