When you arrive at JFK you will proceed to customs/immigration and pick up your luggage there. Ask Air India at check-in if they can tag your luggage to RDU, and if they can take your luggage to the connecting flights counter after you exit customs, if not you will need to re-check with AA at T8. Luggage cart rentals are available at customs. Go to third floor of T4 and take any AirTrain on track 1 to T8, the luggage carts are allowed on AirTrain which will help you in case you have to re-check. Assistance is generally available at each terminal but not between.

Thanks for info. just one morequestion do feel 2 hrs time is sufficient for whole process. How long air train will take from T4 to T8.
Thanks

AirTrain will take no more than 5 minutes. As long as your arrival is on time and it's not too busy at customs and AA check-in you should be ok. Any delays could pose a problem.

Hello,

I really would appreciate your help:

I will be arriving go JFK from Denver on a Delta flight (terminal 3) at 05:03PM on Friday, June 10th and I will be departing on Aeroflot from JFK at 7:00PM from terminal 1 to Moscow, Russia.

1) Where will I have to go through international security, in Denver or in New York?

2) Is 1 hour 57 minutes enough time to make this connection from a domestic to an international flight (from terminal 3 to terminal 1) on a Friday evening?

3) Can my luggage be checked in directly from Denver to Moscow?

Thank you so much for your help in advance!!! OT

1)You will not go through customs/immigration until you arrive in Moscow. You will need to clear TSA security for your Denver departure and at JFK T1.
2)You should have time. Take AirTrain on track 2 from T3 to T1.
3)Ask Delta at Denver check-in if they have a baggage agreement with Aeroflot, if they do then they can check you bags all the way through. If not you will need to re-check with Aeroflot at T1.

Thank you so much!

1.You will clear security in both cities.
2. Yes.
3.Yes.

Thank you :)

I'm returning from Italy on a Monday at 1:55 p.m. Do I have enough time to get through customs to catch a connecting flight on Delta at 3:30? Please advise. I need to book the connecting flight on Delta very soon.

Way too close for comfort, I'd take a later connecting flight if possible.

How long will taxi take from JFK to Soho? Am I right that taking LIRR for 2 people will be about the same price?

Taxi will take 45 minutes to one hour depending on traffic, cost is $45+tolls+tip. AirTrain/LIRR/subway will take about the same time; $5 for AirTrain, $8.50 peak/$6.25 off-peak for LIRR to Penn Station and $2.25 for subway from Penn Station to Soho. Taxi for 2 will certainly cost more than public transportation but will take you direct to your destination.

We are arriving on Icelandair on Terminal 7. Our American Airlines flight to DCA leaves from Terminal 8. We have 2 hours.

Questions - Is that enough?
How do we get from 7 to 8?
How long will it take?
Do we need to go to the AA ticket counter to check in?
We will have boarding passes from checking in on line but no luggage tags.

Thanks.

It will be close! Take AirTrain on track 1 one stop from T7 to T8, only takes a minute. If Icelandair has a baggage agreement with AA they can tag your bags through to your final destination, take your bags to the connecting flights counter after you exit customs and go through security with your boarding passes at T8. Otherwise you will need to take your bags with you from T7 to T8 and check your bags at AA, which may cost you some time.

Thank you so much.
