After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

No, the tax return practice has been discontinued long time ago.

I am flying into JFK on AA at 8:30pm then I fly out of JFK on RJ at 11pm. 1)These flights were not booked together so will I have to pick up my bags upon landing at JFK and then re-check them for my flight on RJ? 2)Is this enough time for me to go from T4 to T8? 3) Can you tell me how to go from T4 to T8 such as where to get onto Airtrain and how long it would take? 4)Would I need to go through security again at T8? Thanks!

1. Most likely you have to take your bags at T8 with you to T4. Double check that with AA.
2. The time is sufficient.
3. At T8 go to the second floor and follow the signs to the Airtrain. Take it on track 2 and you will be at T4 in less than 5 min.
4. Yes, you have to go through security , but at T4.

How long should I allow for checking in when flying back to europe?

Hi...i will be arriving at T2 today from delta airlines at gate 25...and have my next flite from T4...
how do i change the terminals and how long does it take.
please reply quick

At T2 look for gate 19A - that is where Delta has a bus going to T4. The bus is very frequent - every 15 min.
The bus will drop you off at Gate B23 at T4.

Our flight will arrive in Terminal 7 from SFO and our 2nd flight will leave Terminal 8 at. So, how do we transfer from Terminal 7 to terminal 8 and how long does it take?

The Airtrain station at T7 is across the streets and upstairs. Take the train on track 1 and get off next stop. It is a minute free ride.

2 of us are leaving JFK in August by Singapore Airlines. The airline allows 2 x 23kg bags per person, but usually combine weights between the 2 of us (eg, if we have 2 x 23kg and 1 x 35kg). Will you allow combined weights like this or do we need to purchase an extra suitcase and divide the weights?

I am arriving on Royal Air Maroc from Casablanca and will be traveling with my dog who will be in a kennel in the cargo hold. Where will I pick him up? At baggage claim or somewhere else? Thank you.

A baggage handler will bring the dog by the baggage claim.

I am flying into terminal 5 at 11:52am. I need to catch a 2pm international flt in terminal 1. I am not checking any bags. Will I have enough time? How do I get from one terminal to another?

thanks for any info.

You do have enough time - take Airtrain on the third floor of Terminal 5, on track 2 to Terminal 1. It is 5 min free ride.

I am hoping to enter the US returning to my USC fiance in Orlando in July. I have read that it is possible to get my I-94 stamped by immigration at JFK with an Employment Authorisation. Can anybody there verify this please?

Dear Sir/Madam:

How can I get information on incoming passengers? I have not heard from my parents since Daddy sent a text at 8:03pm, stating that they "just arrived" at JFK and I am getting more and more worried by the minute. My sister has tried without success to reach them on Dad's phone. Please advise me on how to get information on them. How will I know if they were detained by CB&P or had problems with their taxi driver? Please help me.

Thanks!
