Hi there,
I'll be arriving on friday 26 th marche at Terminal 8 at 23:05 and have a flight to GEO on Caribbean Airlines at 01:15 from Terminal 4.
1. Would I have to claim my baggage & clear customs at Terminal 8, then check in again at T4?
2. Is 2 hrs enough time for that and transfer between terminals?
Many thanks

1. Assuming you are coming on domestic flight at T8 - yo claim you bags there and you can transfer them there as well. You can check in you bags at T4 if you choose to do so( and carry them between the terminals)
2. Two hours should be fine as long as your AA flight is on time.

Hi,
no we are comming from Vienna via London Heathrow. Does this change anything?

Then you will clear immigration, pick up your bags and clear customs at T8. Flying international will make it a little bit tight time wise but you will be fine with 2 hours period.

PATLBAM-We are 5 mature adults due to arrive by Delta at 2:00 PM on Sun 5/9 and need to get ourselves and our checked luggage from that terminal to the terminal for an American Airlines International flight due to depart at 5:30 PM.
#1: will we have time to deplane, collect our luggage, take the air train from terminal 2 to terminal 9, check in, clear security and get to our flight with a minimum of anxiety?
#2: since two of us 5 are in wheelchairs, is there any type of assistance for us and our luggage for this transfer from terminal 1 or 2 to terminal 8 or 9?
#3: is the air train our best approach? or would a taxi or two be more efficient, given the above details?
I appreciate any helpful comments.

Hi,

#1 Three hours and half is plenty time to do that. One correction - AA is located at Terminal 8.
#2 There are baggage handlers at Delta that will help you with that. Just make sure you request one as soon as you land(speak to Delta Rep for that).
#3 The taxi is less worrisome choice but there will be another problem - you have to request a wheelchair accessible taxis(two in your case) and they are scarce at JFK.
One advice - check with Ground transportation agents in the Terminal for other, more efficient options.

I'm looking for information about this flight. It's delayed and I don't know if its departure will be from JFK airport or Boston airport due to bad weather conditions.
Thanks

Hi,

I will be reaching JFK Terminal 8 at 1:40 pm through Jet Airways and my connecting flight is at 7:00 pm through Delta at Terminal 3.

Is there any Delta counter after customs in Terminal 8?

Also if I have to take bags and go to Delta counter at Terminal 3 what route I need to follow and how easy it is?

Thanks

There is no Delta counter at T8. There is connecting flights counter for AA(or Jet Airways) after customs and that is the one you should go to. Use free Airtrain to transfer between the terminals.

The following airlines are no longer operating out of Terminal 8, JFK:

- Air Berlin
- Malev

I wl be reaching JFK airport terminal8 at 12.15 hrs by Jet airways and leaving for washington DC in american airlines flight at 16.05 hrs.

do i have to do immigration check ouit at Terminal 8 before boarding american airlines flight (or) can i do immigration out at washington Dc

whether the check in luggages will be deliverd directly at Washington Dc or I have to clear it at Terminal 8 and again check in

regards

elango

Elango - You will have to do immigration at JFK, take your luggage out and clear customs check. Only then you can check-in again for American. But you can get the luggage tag all the way to Washington when you check-in at Jet Airways, make sure it is attached to the luggage. Then you can transfer the luggage from the AA counter, usually they have one right after customs. If you don't have the tag all the way to Washington, you will have to take the luggage yourself to AA terminal and check-in. Either ways, you will have to do immigration at JFK.

On April 2 I will be taking AA flight from Miami to JFK and another AA flight from JFK to Barcelona. There is only one hour in between flights. Are both those flights in the same terminal since one is domestic and the othere international? Is it at all possible to make the connection in one hour.

Hi,
I will be arriving on JFK on 6:00PM on Wednesday via AA on terminal 8. I will have two checked bags as well as carry on. I will catch emirates at 11:00PM same day. After getting my luggage from terminal 8 , how to get to terminal 4 with luggage. I have been taking Airtrain in past but don't know how to transfer my luggage to terminal 4. Is there emirate baggage counter in terminal 8?
Please help.
Thanks
