If it becomes necessary to transfer between Delta terminals for an international flight from a domestic one, do you have to pass through security again or in order to expedite without delays one could pass through via a walkway or people mover? This is vital to my planning because allowing time for security could become problematic if there is little time between connecting flights.

Delta terminals 2 and 3 are connected by walkway so if your flights are in either terminal there's no security involved. If you arrive at T2/T3 and depart on Delta international from T4 there is a shuttle bus near gate 15 in T2 for Delta passengers with valid boarding passes to the T4 Delta gate which will bypass security at T4.

B2G, the shuttle bus is either by gate 19 at T2 or by gate 11 at T3.

My friend, a citizen of India, is leaving Chennai on Jet Airways arriving at terminal 8 and taking BW525 to Trinidad from Terminal 4. He is not the holder os a US Visa.
Does he need a US Visa or can he travel in-transit?
Thanks for any help.

Yes he does even if transiting.

I will be arriving jfk terminal 7 on AA, need to get to terminal 5 for Jet Blue. What is the fastest way? I will not be checking luggage. How long should this take?
Thanks

Flights operated by AA typically arrive at Terminal 8, not Terminal 7. Are you sure that you're not on an AA "codeshare" flight operated by another carrier? In any event, to get from Terminal 7 or Terminal 8 to Terminal 5, you would take the "All Terminal" AirTrain; the ride will take less than five minutes.

We are arriving at JFK on an international flight at 11am T4 , will we have enough time to connect on jetblue to Orlando at 1.59pm? We have two 20kg luggages to check in..

Appreciate any help :)

I arrive in JFK from Miami friday term-3 22:10
My wife arrive in JFK from Paris term-1 21:20

How do we meet?

Bra

Hi,
My wife and I are flying into JFK on Oct 21st via Jet Blue.
The flight is landing around 7:45pm. I guess Jet Blue is based in Terminal 5, but not sure.

Our international flight is leaving at 10:30 from Terminal 4.

Is this enough time just in case we have to go to baggage claim, pick our luggage and put it on the international flight since we are on different tickets (1 for coming into JFK, and the 2nd one for the international flight)?

If we do not have any checked luggage, how much time does it take to get from terminal 5 to terminal 4?

The one-stop ride from T5 to T4 on the All-Terminals AirTrain will take all of two minutes.

I will be arriving from Santiago Chile on LAN airline at 7:15am. Will I have enough time to clear customs and depart on a USAirways domestic flight at 9:59am?
Do I need to take my bags from terminal 4 with me to terminal 7 for check in with USAirways?

You should have enough time. Yes you need.

hiya, 4 of us are arriving @ JFK on monday at 3pm, after reading various modes of transport ie taxi, minibus etc im now confused as to what would be the cheapest to travel to skyline hotel in 10th avenue! could you help? many thanks in advance x

The absolute cheapest way is to take the Q10 or Q10 Limited bus from Terminal 4 to the bus' last stop, the Kew Gardens subway station (about a 35-40 minute ride). At Kew Gardens, board a Manhattan-bound "E" train to 50th Street/8th Avenue (about a 25-minute ride). Then walk two blocks west to your hotel. If you purchase a pay-per-ride Metrocard at JFK before boarding the bus, the total cost for the four of you will be $9.00, as you will get free transfers from the bus to the subway. (If you're arriving at a terminal other than Terminal 4 at JFK, you can ride the AirTrain between terminals free of charge.)

If you will have a lot of luggage and/or just don't want to take public transportation, a taxi for the four of you will cost about $60, including tip and toll. The taxi will probably take about 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
