Hi.
I will arrive from europe on the 6th of august and I have to get a flight the same day to costa rica.
I have two different tickets.
How many hours connecting time I need in order not to risk to loose my connection?
tks

I am flying in from Hong Kong via Tokyo and have a 6 hour layover at JFK and am wondering if:

a) i can leave the airport without picking up my bags and bringing them with me (ie leave them checked in to go onto my next flight)
b) if i can, where would be a good place to go check out, have a snack, wander around?

i used to live in brooklyn so figure that might be easiest but will need to be back to the airport about 2 hours before my next flight as it is international and am just unsure about timing...

a) Whether you can leave your luggage checked in for your next destination is something you should ask yyour airline.

b) The most decent place to hang out that is accessible from the airport that I can think of is Forest Hills. You can walk around Austin St. where there are lots of shops and restaurants. The taxi ride from the airport should be less than 30 minutes.

which site or link shall I use to get arriving flights realtime schedule and eventual delays info
thx

Florida to New York jfk Airport, Delta Flight 1810, 7:10 off, what time to New York jfk airport?

Hi......I have a 4 hours layover on Oct. 18th....Is there a restaurant outside of security IN airport where my Daughter could meet me for lunch?? Thanks

Most terminals have restaurants outside of security. You have wider choices if you're in oue of the newer terminals.

I am travelling to New York next month and I have 1 1/2 year old daughter and am afraid of the new virus H1N1 what should I do to protect my daughter and my self and I would like to know also what the airport is doing to protect the passengers what are the ways of control ???????????????????

Certainly bring medical face masks for yourself and your daughter to the airport and do not remove it unless necessary. Teach her never ever touch her eyes, mouth, or nose with her hands when you are outside, as these are literally "the gates to your body" for the virus. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds whenever you get a chance. If your child is very small, then I would recommend calling a health-care professional and seeking for more advice. I hope this has been helpful.

don't worry about the irus, it's no longer existant. you should just wash your hands before yuo eat. and if someone is coughing next to you, tell the stewardess to change your seat

The Swine Flu has now been declared a global Pandemic. It is not "no longer existent."

I will be arrived there on 8 JULY 2009 21:20.

As soon as I get there I want to go to Boston by bus.

Is it possible?

Or Do I have to stay one night at the airport?

If this is not possible, please let me know alternative

ways to get to Boston when I arrive.

Hi there
Another alternative is to take the airtrain to Sutphin Blvd, change over to the J train to Canal Street where you can pick up the Fung Wah bus between Bowery Street and Canal Street (china town). Your bus ticket will cost no more than $15 and buses run every 15 mins to 1/2 hour. I have been taking this bus for 4 yrs and have no complaints. Alternatively, you can take the Greyhound bus from Penn Station to Boston South Station.

Since you'll be @ Port Authority, you can transfer to Amtrk or Greyhound for continued ground transportation. Staying over in NYC is not necessary. Catch the Greyhound to Albany NY or Amtrak to Renselear NY (5 minutes from Albany) & go from there if need be.... But you dont want to stay the night in Albany! So if a stay is inevitable your best bet is NY for nightlight but Albany for boredom & money!
