I'm flying back to Johannesburg South Africa soon, and have been told that my luggage has to go through unlocked for searching purposes. I don't have a problem with that, I believe it's good. However, there is a lot of theft at the South African airport, by the luggage attendants.

Is it possible for me to watch the search, then request the JFK security officers to lock it for me, before releasing it?

I would be grateful for your early response.

You can buy special locks that can be opened by the TSA staff with a key. That way - they can check your luggage if need be, but the locks will be in place when you arrive in Johannesburg.

As I got off the plane I started coughing. The Delta flight attendant from my flight offered my a water to have with me as we waited for our next flight. After we passed through customs, needing for some reason to pass though metal detectors again, they made me dispose of the water. We were then hearded like animals up an escalator, lucky us it was working, then we turn the corner, this one is not working, not only is it not working but it appears to have been out of service for many monthes if not over a year, the dirt had accumulated in the grooves of the escalator there were dust bunnies and lint balls everywhere. We preceded to our terminal and on the way I came down with a bout of coughing my throat was locking up I could not breath without coughing. I needed water. $4.00 for a little tiny bottle. This however was not the problem the problem was the dirt, I only have hayfever allergies not extreme allergy, but the dust in the airport made me sick, sweaty and embarresed. This is a very serious problem, an airport employee threaten not to let me get on my flight if I didn't stop coughing, he said other passengers may be concerned I have a virus. I refused to stay in the airport another minute than I had to. After boarding the plane my coughing subsided but didn't stop, as soon as they closed the cabin doors I could finally breath again. You might not think airplane air is good, but after experiencing what I did at JFK I was greatful for the Dry, but clean airplane air.

Nothing against the article, but I disagree with a couple of points to some extenct. I'm probably a minority though, lol. Thanks for sharing it on www.jfk-airport.net .

It doesn't look good to critisize anyone or anything if with bad grammar and bad spelling. Look at your own shortcomings before passing judgement on anyone else.

hay this persons first language might not be english. How's your german spelling or your russian grammar?

Good day.
Could you please tell me where I'm going to land if I take the plane from Guyana in South America to New York?

My guess would be New York??

Don't be mean. Just don't reply if you don't have anything nice to say. Or if you can't say anything without being sarcastic.

You would probably land at JFK International Airport. I'm not 100 percent positive, though, so you might want to check with your airline.

Gnetlemen:

I returned yesterday to Colombia, via Avianca 21 to Bogotá.

When I arrived at the airport and before checking in at Avianca front desk, I put my cashemir scarf in the outer zipped pocket of my bag, together with my rabbit skin gloves. When I wanted to use my scarf in Bogotá, it has desappeared from this compartiment.

This is just to report you the situation.

Thank you for your attention.

As you Know there is a lot of pickpockets on El Dorado, never, never let anything unattended, or out of you view.
