Hi there

Please could somebody give me some advice.

I am flying from cancun to jfk on 13/4 with jetblue and am scheduled to land at 4.15pm. from looking at the jet blue website i believe we will be flying into terminal 4.

i then have a flight from jfk to dusseldorf at 6.35pm which i believe leaves from terminal 8.

i have just noticed that the check-in deadline for air berlin flights from jfk is 90 mins prior to departure. therefore, i need to check in for my flight to dusseldorf by 5.05pm

so this means i will have only 50 mins in between landing in jfk terminal 4 and getting to terminal 8 for the check in deadline.

as i am only in transit will i have to go through the immigration procedures or simply collect my baggage and go to the next flight?

is this possible or do i need to try and amend my flight details?

thanks in advance of your responses!

tom

Yes you will clear immigration and customs even if transiting through the U.S at JFK airport. YOu may want to allow yourself a longer time frame between both flights.

Hi,

I am landing @ 10:00 AM in JFK Internation Airport terminal 4 via AA and need to board Emirates to Dubai in terminal 8 11:20 AM.
I do have 1 hour 20 min time to connect to this flight along with family and kids.

Please let me know below.
1) Can we walk from Terminal 4 to 8,if so how much time it might take
2) Any shuttles/train available if so where?
3) Can we make it emirates within 1Hour 20 Mins time

Here is my answer
You dont have to walk between terminals. American Airlines will get you to terminal 8. Take an air train on track 2 at terminal 8. It will be a 3 minute trip from terminal 8 to terminal 4. I am assuming that your first flight is domestic. If it is then you will make your connection as long as it is on time.

thanks for the response.

unfortunately no, my first flight is international, im flying from cancun, mexico with jet blue.

do you still think i will be ok, or should i look into changing my flights

thanks very much

It will be very tight if not impossible for you. Customs may take you up to one hour. You may want to allow yourself a longer time frame between flights.

3) how to teach terminal 3

Please give the detailed answer as i am new to international flights

1.Terminal 4 baggage claim area.
2. Terminal 3 with Delta for your second flight.
3. Air train on track 2 on the 3rd floor of terminal 4 and one minute trip to terminal 3.

Glad to see this forum - I am arriving domestic at JFK on a Saturday at 3:40 p.m. on an American flight. I'll need to get luggage and recheck in for an international flight on KLM that departs at 6 p.m.

I already bought my non-refundable ticket to JFK but does this give me enough time? Should I just take the loss and try to get to JFK earlier?

Your time frame looks ok especially when you are arriving at JFK on a domestic flight. You should be fine with making your connection.

My parents are coming next week from Dubai via Emirates and taking JetBlue from JFK to Raleigh. Emirates informed us that they have booked the wheelchair assistance only till JFK and they asked us to contact Jet Blue for rest of the journey. Does anyone know how would they operate ? So how would they be received and how would they be transferred to the next flight as they have to clear immigration and customs and board the next flight ?

You should speak with JetBlue directly.
