Thanks BG,

I will consider that . From my experience, more people are choosing subway E instead of LIRR. May be because of the price as you suggested. I will include LIRR in my advice next time:)
Thanks again !

Agreed, price is certainly a consideration, but schlepping bags on a crowded subway sucks; did that last week going to Penn Station from downtown. At least you normally get a seat on LIRR and less hassle and frazzle. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks both for the advice, great to see that there are good options. What is LRR by the way!?!?! And how much more expensive is it?

whats the fastest way to grand central from jfk i arrive @740pm i was thinking of taking the nyas bus but is subway quicker i need to catch metro north to yonkers asap i know the nyas bus takes me right to grand central but just need quickest way

NYAS is express service and once leaves the airport it goes straight to Grand Central Station. Furthermore, at that time there should not be much traffic going into the city.

thanks

I have cousins flying in from Italt on or about March 25th. They are flying ALitalia and I wanted to know how they would get to Newark Penn station where there I can get them on a train to my area? Obviously they will not be familiar with the area so any help will be appreciated!

Hey Victor,

Let them take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station. Then take Subway E to Penn Station in Manhattan. There take NJ train to Penn Station Newark.

Hi

I've been reading the comments and am still confused on how to get to the Financial District - what is the best route and what subway do I need?

Many Thanks

Take Airtrain on track 1 to Howard Beach Station. Then take subway line A(towards Manhattan) to Broadway-Nassau stop. Transfer to either 2,3,4 or 5 subway line (towards Downtown or Brooklyn) for one stop to Wall Street .

First time travellers to NYC.

How would we go about getting from JFK (Jetblue domestic) to Penn Station? How much would it cost each?

Thanks!

Take Airtrain (which is located on the third floor) on track 1 to Jamaica Station. Then take subway line E to Penn Station. It costs $5 for Airtrain plus $2.25 for subway.

Hi,

i will be arriving to JFK on terminal-8 at 3:30PM and i'll be leaving to Dubai on terminal-4 at 11:00PM,
between this transition time, i want to go to Timesquare and comeback quickly, is it possible? If possible, which is the cheap and fastest way to Timesquare?

Vijay

Hi Vijay,
Yes, it is possible to do that . Give yourself one hour and half in each direction if you are using public transportation. Then , try to be at least at 9pm at JFK for your flight to Dubai.
Using taxi or New York Express bus to Times Square will give you more time since they are faster(but more expensive).

Hi everybody,
we arrive on May 8th at 22.35.What can we take to get to the city? Which means of transport will be operating at that time?
Thanks
