JFK-NEWARK
Is there a direct shuttle that goest from JFK to Newark? Or would it be faster for me to travel to Penn Station and then take a train out to Morristown, NJ ?
State Shuttle offers service
State Shuttle offers service between JFK and Newark airports, cost is around $30. If your final destination is Morristown then yes, take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to either LIRR or E subway to Penn Station and NJ Transit-Morristown line train. You may need to go from Penn Station to Newark-Broad St. station to catch certain trains to Morristown, check the NJ Transit website.
How Much Time Needed?
I am arriving from an international flight into JFK on 12/15/10. After we land, I need to catch an Amtrak-sponsored bus from JFK to Penn Station to hook up with an Amtrak train to northern NY State. We arrive at JFK at 5:15 am via our international flight. Will I be able to get my luggage, go through customs, and find our ground transportation by 7:45 am? I've never flown into JFK, so I have no idea how long everything will take. I need opinions as to whether you think I can arrive at 5:15 am and do everything and catch a 7:45 am bus to Penn. My other option would be to catch the 10:45 am bus to Penn and get a later train home, but I know I'll be anxious to get home as soon as I can. Thanks for your opinions.
You should have time.
You should have time.
Travel from East 33rd Street to JFK
I want to drop my cases off early at the airport.
What's the cheapest option to get to JFK and how long will it take and will it be a 'safe' journey?
Generally public
Generally public transportation is cheapest option but would need to know where you are coming from to give you the best route.
from JFK to Astoria, Queens
Hi all,
can you give me advise, how I get from JFK to Astoria, Ditmars? (to N/W train)
I don't wanna travel by taxi.
Thanks in advance
You'll need to make a few
You'll need to make a few subway transfers along the way; take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to inbound E subway to Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Hgts, transfer to inbound #7 subway to Queensboro Plaza, transfer to Astoria-bound N or Q (replaces the W) subway to last stop.
Thank you very much BG

AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to either LIRR or E subway to Penn Station. Outside Penn Station you can get the Boltbus or Megabus to Boston, inside the station you can take Amtrak.

Hi,
I will arrive in JFK at 10:00 p.m. Oct. 30 and the destination is Radission Plaza Warwick Hotel Philadelphia.
Which bus should I take? Thanks for your help in advance.
Hi, We arrive into JFK at
Hi,
We arrive into JFK at 10.20pm and need to travel to Rochester. I understand there is a greyhound bus service from Penn station. Can you please suggest what time we should book the bus from Penn station (allowing enough time for processing upon arrival at JFK and travel to Penn Station) and is there a bus service to Penn station from JFK?
Many thanks
Take the NYAS express bus
Take the NYAS express bus from your terminal direct to Penn Station, cost is $15. Greyhound has two daily departures from Penn Station to Rochester, one in the morning and one in the evening. You'll have more bus choices to Rochester if you depart from Port Authority Bus Terminal and there's also a NYAS bus from all terminals direct to Port Authority. On www.greyhound.com choose "New York", not "New York-Penn Station" as your departure and it will list all available buses to Rochester on the date you are traveling.
