Transfer in JFK (HKG to JFK to MIA)
Hello , My husband and I are flying on 22 Oct from HKG to JFK (CX Airline )with a connecting flight to MIA with America airline on the same day.
He is a Hong Kong citizen , I am a Chinese citizen .
We arrive JFK on 13:10 , and our flight to MIA depart on 15:55 .
We would like to know the following:
- Will we need to pick up all luggage in JFK T7 and then transfer them to JFK T8 by ourself?
Or is the luggage delivered from HKG to MIA directly ?
- Do we need to cross immigration in JFK ? if yes , where is the immigration ? before or after the custom ?
- We have 2 hours and 45 minutes in JFK , is it enough for connection ?

Yes, you have to pick up the bags at JFK 'cause you have to go through US customs. After that you have a choice: either transfer it at CX connecting flights counter at T7 or take it with you and re-check it in at AA counter at T8.

You have to go through immigration at JFK. It is located before customs(in the same hall).

Yes, the time is plenty for that.

You will clear the US immigration/customs at your first point of entry in US - JFK in your case.

The arriving terminal depends on which airline are you flying from SLC.
The luggage storage at T4 is very convenient due to the fact that they are open 24/7.
AA to London departs out of T8.

Delta transfer times
Hi,
I'm flying with Delta in a few days, into JFK terminal 3 from Seattle(DL 182)at 22:00 and have a connecting Delta flight to Dublin(DL 164)at 22:45 from terminal 3. Assuming the inbound flight is on time, will I make the connection???

to new york today with all these delays?
La Guardia has cancelled all my flights - I would honestly love an answer.I'm flying from Toronto.

As the weather can be unpredictable so is the answer of this question that can be no more than a wild guess.
I would suggest you to wait until Sunday when according to the forecast will be no more windy conditions in NY.

I am arriving at terminal 4
I am arriving at terminal 4 at 7.45am on Sat 16th Oct and I need to get my baggage and clear customs before going to termiinal 5 for a Jet Blue flight
to Syracuse at 9.40am. Will I have enough time?
If your arrival is on-time
If your arrival is on-time you should be ok. Take Airtrain (track 1) on third floor of T4 one stop to T5.
