My info may be very outdated but there should be an airport bus from JFK directly to Newark Airport, where you can rent a car or be picked up. If this bus has been discontinued, there should still be airport busses between JFK and Manhattan's Port Authority Terminal and between Port Authority and Newark Airport. Perhaps there's a bus line from Port Authority with a stop in Jackson or near it. (check out Peter Pan/Trailways) Quite a few places in NJ are served by these bus lines. Can your parents check this out from their end? I just hope you're not traveling now, in this blizzard.

A taxi will cost around $140. You can take AirTrain to Jamaica Station and then take the subway and get to Port Authority Bus Terminal or to Penn Station and take a Bus or a Train to Jackson or Newark. Check MJ Transit and MTA Subway for more info.

I have lost a canon movie camera on flight AA160 (QF3077) from San Francisco to New York on 12/15/09 arrived in NY at 1045hrs. It was most likely left under seat 37H or 37J.
Had asked Amercian Arilines staff to check under the seat on this flight but no help.
I have left a few messages with JFK lost and found and cannot reach staff.

hello.
I`d like to know how many candys a person may have in his laggege. I want to deliver 5 kg of cokolate candys from Russia (Moscow) to NY. Candys are without liquid inside.
thank you.

I heard I can refund the tax i paid on shopping? Can anyone verify this, where to do it in the airport and how long approx to sort it out (Wed in morning)? Thanks.

In many countries with a national Value Added Tax (VAT), you can apply for a tax refund on products purchased for use out of country.

The USA does not have a national VAT, and thus the tax cannot be refunded.

Local, state and city sales taxes are paid based on the district in which you purchased the product, and are not refundable upon leaving the district.

Hello-my daughter needs to get to JFK from Providence on Monday Dec 21. her flight is 7 pm. What is the best way for her to get directly to JFK with no extra connections?

Amtrak goes to Penn Station. From there is a bus outside that goes directly to JFK, or taxi from Penn station is $45

Just got back from NYC through JFK to discover several Christmas Gifts and valuable clothes have been stolen from my luggage - put nothing of value whatsoever in your luggage. Take it on board in carry-on luggage if you ever want to see it again!
