Penn Station to JFK Airport
I am coming from CT and need to fly ourt of JFK. Take Metro North to Grand Central. What subway takes me to Penn Station? If I read the maps right, I can go from Penn Station on the LIRR to Jamaica, transfer to the Air Train which will take me directly to the airport..Is that correct. What are the fees?

You can take the E train from penn station to jamaica. Thats 2 dollar. Then u can get the air train from there. I'M not really sure but i think the air train will cost you 7 dollars.

Getting to Newark Airport from JFK
It depends on how long you have between flights. It is probably about $100 to take a cab to Newark. You can also check rates with some of the car service companies to see if they are any better. Check www.telacar.com.

Anything else and it will be about a three hour tour on NYC public transportation. You can do it, but you will have to take the Airtrain to the A/C/E train to Penn Station, and then take the regional NJ Transit rail service to Newark Airport. All in all, it will be a waste of time and probably more expensive.

There's a shuttle bus, when you land look for ground transport and ask them. Not sure how much it costs.. maybe $15 or $20. Cheaper than a cab.

You use a lock that says it's TSA approved. They don't break all locks, if it's a TSA lock they have a special key for it.
