we have a ticket for DL72 Istanbul flight on 17:05 from NY, we will be arriving from Orlando to NY with DL 160 on 16:20 - both on terminal 3. do you believe we can catch the flight on 17:05. where will be the custom issues in orlando or ny?
thanks

Customs and Immigration will take place upon arrival in Istanbul. There are no U.S. Customs/Immigration formalities when *departing* the U.S. If both of your flights are on a single ticket, the Delta agent at MCO will inspect your travel documents to make sure that you are eligible to be admitted to Turkey.

Assuming that both flights are on a single ticket and you check your baggage all the way through to IST from MCO, you should make your connecting flight, as long as the flight from MCO to JFK lands on or close to schedule.

My wife is taking AA 651 at JFK today, they say systems are down, how serious is the problem ?

We arrive in JFK Wednesday 1.15pm from the UK. Will a yellow NYC taxi be able to carry 4 people and 4 large suitcases into Manhattan. If not and we hired a limo/SUV can we do this on arrival or should we book in advance.
Kind Regards

You should be good for a NYC taxi.

I am sure this is the most frequent question asked on this forum. We are arriving at terminal 4 JFK direct flight from Johannesburg with South African Airways at 06H40 and need to catch a connecting flight with Delta departing at 08h10 at terminal 4. Will we have enough time? Any suggestions on how to speed up the process?

An OK time frame as long as your arriving flight on South African Airways is on time.

I am arriving on a BA flight from London at 11am into terminal 7 and need to transfer to terminal 5 to connect with a flight that departs at 1pm with jetblue.

Is this enough time??

2 hours should be enough time for you.

Are you flying from LCY, in which case you would clear U.S. Customs and Immigration during the refueling stop at Shannon, or are you flying from LHR, in which case you would have to go through Customs and Immigration at JFK?

The Kuwait Airways flight lands at JFK at 1820 hrs and I need to catch a domestic flight to Colombus, Ohio at 2030 hrs. Will I be able clear immigration and make it comfortably or am I taking a risk?

As I type this, my wife is desperately trying to find her way from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2. She has been told by Delta staff and JFK staff that there are no trains to transfer between terminals. In fact, she (and many others) were sent OUTSIDE THE STUPID AIRPORT and told they had to walk to Terminal 2. Back through another round of security...all of this to simply make a connection!

This is the last time either of us will ever fly through JFK. I would love an explanation of this idiocy.

I don't know what the problem was/is with AirTrain today, but I'm sure that Port Authority personnel at the Terminal 2/3 AirTrain station could have advised your wife as to the nature of the problem, when it was expected to be resolved, and whether shuttle buses were going to be used.

Any transfer between terminals using AirTrain or taxi requires passing through security at the second terminal.

Your wife may have been sent out of the *terminal*; she surely was not sent out of the *airport*. While walking from Terminal 2/3 to Terminal 4 is certainly not the ideal way to change terminals, it might be possible if one does not have a lot of luggage. And, as mentioned, a brief taxi ride is always an option if one cannot wait for restoration of AirTrain service or a substitute shuttle bus.
