This is a Manhattan zip code (upper Manhattan-Harlem) so the taxi fare would be flat rate $45+tolls+tip. You can also reach that area by public transportation (Airtrain to subway $7.25).

Thank you very much!!

Hi - my daughter and niece arrive at JFK from the UK on Friday and will need a taxi to the Kimberly Hotel. How much will this cost and is it in your flat fare rate to Manhattan or would they be better off to pre-book from the UK before they fly. Many thanks

If it is Kimberly Hotel at 145 East 50th Street, then the yellow cab will take her on flat fare($50). No need to pre-book a taxi.

I'm arriving at JFK airport on 03/9/2010 at 5.30 am. I require the prices of a cab for 2 people from JFK Airport to 13 Waverly St, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Each will have 1 hand luggage item.

Can you please advise the cost of such a trip?
Thanks a lot in advance

Can you please tell me if one needs to book a cab for this trip and if not, where do we pick up a cab. Are there specific cab companies which we should look out for to get these rates or would the rate be the same regardless of which cab company we use.
Your early response would be appreciated as today is my last day in the office with access to e-mail.

There are always cabs available at Ground Transportation at the NYC yellow taxi dispatch area. ONLY take the NYC yellow cab. DO NOT accept transportation from anyone else claiming they can take you where you need to go, they will rip you off.

If my friend gets a Taxi to JFK to spend time with me during my stopover will I be able to go out and pay the taxi for them? Will the taxi accept my credit card? Can they book one of the JFK cabs so they know they take credit cards?
Thanks in advance:)

You can do that as long as you meet the yellow cab as it arrives and your friend has to make sure(before the trip) that the taxi takes credit cards.
Or you can order a private car and pay for it with your credit card either online or over the phone.
Here are two of the private car's web sites that serve JFK:
