Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK.
T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century.
T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world.
T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America.
T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually.
T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year.
T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station.
T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.

Lost baggage
I am willing to pay the shipping costs for my lost baggage.
Can anybody tell me, whom I have to contact, to get to know if it is in JFK? I left New York on August 28.

terminal 4 direction and info
Hello,
Our TA has us on a 7:20 arrival at terminal 3, and 8:15 departure from Terminal 4.(All Delta flights) I know we will have to get to terminal 4 from 3 probably via the train.
I need to know after we get to terminal 4 where do we go from there? Do we take an escalator(sp?) up or will we go through security somewhere else. Are the Delta gates in the A wing? Or the B wing? Are these wings on the same level as where we will get off the train?
Hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

I hope you are arriving on Delta domestic(otherwise you don't have sufficient time to transfer).
In your case there are two ways to get from T3 to T4:
1. The faster one - once you disembark the plane look for gate 11 at T3.Do not exit the building or leave the sterile area. At gate 11 Delta has courtesy bus(every 10 mins) that will take you to T4(B wing, where all the Delta flights are). There is no need to clear security again.
2. By Airtrain - go across T3 and take Airtrain on track 1. Get off next stop and follow the signs to B gates. Clear security and look for the gate .
This way will take you more than 30 mins to get to your gate.

I appreciate your reply and plan to hook up to the Delta Courtesy bus now that I have that info. Glad i don't have to go through security again as I couldn't figure out how to go from one terminal to the other in the time allowed.

JFK 4 to JFK terminal 8
My parents (not knowing much English) are landing on terminal 4 of JFK via Air India flight at 7 :00 am
and have to catch a connecting flight of American Airline at 1350 from terminal 8. How should they proceed to reach terminal 8 from terminal 4 ( train or bus..and where do they get these assistance). Do they need to take check in luggage as well from terminal 4 to terminal 8 or the check in can be done on terminal 4 itself.

In-transit at Terminal 4
Hi
My wife arrives at JFK Terminal 4 from Toronto by LAN Air LA533 landing at 1735 on the 23rd. She has a connection with Virgin Atlantic VS046 to Heathrow at 1930 also from JFK Terminal 4.
With regards to the above, we had 2 questions please:
1) Does she have enough time to make her connection?
2) Where are the Virgin Atlantic checkin desks located for in transit passengers?

1.) She has enough time - flights from Toronto do not clear customs and immigration at JFK. The only thing she has to do is to collect her bags(if any).
2.) VA has no special "in-transit" counters. She has to look for regular check-in counters for VA which are located on the fourth floor of T4.

I will be coming from Toronto to T4, LAN at 5:35 pm.
I have another flight from T1, Aeroflot at 7 pm.
Can you please tell me how to get from T4 to T1.
Is it enough time to collect bags and clear custom/immigration?
