re: how to go from terminal 7 to 8
You have just enough time to do that. Take Airtrain (the station is located across Terminal 7)on track 1 for one stop to Terminal 8.

Flying from Madrid to Boston
Hi
I come back from Madrid on Sunday, March 28 with Iberia/AA. I arrive at Terminal 7 at 7.10pm and I have to take an AA plain to Boston at 10.30pm from Terminal 8.
Do you think I have enough time? Do I have to pass through inmigration and clear customs there? What about my luggage, do I have to take it and then check it again?
Thanks
re: Flying from Madrid to Boston
You have enough time.
You clear customs and immigration at Terminal 7.
You can transfer your bags at T7, Iberia connecting flights counter or you can take them with you to T8 and check then in with AA.

VIP lounges @ term7
Can we use our PRIORITY PASSES at any of the lounges at this terminal - ?
and IF NOT - how far is the nearest PRIORITY PASS available lounge.
We are flying to London with British Airways, but do not have enough 'status' with them to use their lounge !!!
They aren't exactly
They aren't exactly enamoring themselves to passengers today - the lounge opened +20mins late anyway. And the latte's from the coffee machines are still awful!
Taxi
Hi There
I want to catch a Taxi to Fair Lawn, NJ from JFK Teminal 7.
1. Where is the Taxi Stand?
2. Is there a Prepaid Taxi Service available?
3. Will any Taxi Driver be happy to go to Fair Lawn, NJ, i.e., whats the chance that they will say "No" to my fare?
4. What would be an approximate cost just for my own peace of mind and making sure I have enough cash at hand?
Thanks in advance for your help.
re: taxi
1. The taxi stand is right across the street on the first floor(arrivals level)
2. Not the yellow cab. Those are private taxi services that a passenger self arranges( no taxi line to wait ).
3. The yellow cab drivers will be more than happy to take you there since it is a long distance for them. By the law they are not allowed to say "No" to ANY destination requested by their customer.
4. The yellow cab will run on the meter and going to NJ area is a different zone(could be very costly). On estimate will cost you on yellow cab somewhere around $150+. Most of the yellow cabs accept credit cards(you have to request one from the taxi dispatcher at the taxi stand) so no need to carry cash.
That said, I will suggest you to take a private car to your destination. Once you arrive look for self-service Ground transportation phones. There (at no cost) you can call a private car by dialing either 31 or 34. The price will be given to you prior to arranging the service. The cars arrive usually within 10-15 min .
Here are the web sites of those two car services:

You can even get a quote on you ride at their web sites.

best meeting place
If I arrive at Terminal 7 and my sister at Terminal 1, what would be the best place to find each other so we can share a taxi to go downtown?
re: best meeting place
Either terminal(1 or 7) is good for that purpose.

getting from T7 to T1
Thank you for that info. I have a follow-up question. Since my sister does not speak very good English (she arrives from Germany), it would be better for me to go to T1 and find her there.
a) what is the easiest way to get from T7 to T1?
b) Where in T1 is a good meeting place - one that is not too difficult to find?
c. Are taxis outside of Terminal 1?
d. I understand that taxis will charge a flat rate of $45 plus toll?
Thank you for helping me on this.
re: getting from T7 to T1
The easiest way is to get the free train from T7 to T1. Make sure you get ANY train on track 1.
At T1 the good meeting place would be arrivals hall - it is not big and you can easily find your sister there.
There is taxi stand right outside arrivals hall at T1 - you will join a taxi line and will be assisted by uniformed taxi dispatcher.
The taxi charge to any point to Manhattan is flat rate of $45 plus bridge toll($5.50).

connecting flights
Hi, I would appreciate if you could give me some orientative feedback on my connecting flights. I will be arriving to T7 from Spain at 19.10h and I have to get a domestic flight in T5 at 21.15h. Do you think I can make it? how does it works, I clear immigration and security first and then I get my bags or can I get iberia to send my bags to jetblue? thanks a lot, Liz
re: connecting flights
Hi Liz,
The time is enough to do that as long as your Iberia flight is on time. When you land you pass through immigration, pick up your bags and pass customs. Then you can look for Iberia representative and asked them where you can recheck you bags for transfer.
Once out of T7, cross the streets and go upstairs to the Airtrain Station. Take ANY train on track 2 for one stop. At T5 go to the second floor ; if you don't have a boarding pass, get one from Jet Blue counter and look for security checkpoint where you go to the gates.
