My friend is arriving at terminal 7 an hour before my plane arrives at terminal 8. Where is the best place to meet and how does one get there?

Best place to meet and greet is at Ground Transportation Desk at terminal 8 in the arrivals hall. From T7 take an air train on track 1 to T8 just one stop.

Checking in at Terminal 8
Flying from San Francisco Tuesday Morning to JFK on AA24. Then taking a Finnair flight AY6 to Finland. Using frequent flyer miles for the Finnair flight so trips are on a separate ticket. I thus assume I cannot check in for the Finnair flight in SFO but need to check in in JFK. Where can I do that? Do I need to go outside and go through the security again?
If you are unable to have
If you are unable to have bags checked and get boarding passes all the way through you will need to go to Finnair check-in on the departure level at JFK to get your boarding pass and clear security. You can check at the AA connecting flights information counter or call AA to see if there's a way to bypass since you are not changing terminals and AA and Finnair are codeshare partners but since you have separate tickets on separate carriers this might not be possible.

Hi, my bf will arrive at T8 4 hours after my arrival at T4. May i know:
(1) whether there is a NY Airport bus at T8?
(2) how i can get from T4 to T8?
(3) what is the best place to meet him at T8?

2)Take any AirTrain on track 1 from T4 to T8.
3)Arrange to meet in the arrivals hall of T8.
Help me!
I´ll be arriving from Helsinki, Finland on tuesday 05 Jul 11 with flight 6025 to Terminal 8 at 3.50pm and need to catch the American Airlines flight 257 to Las Vegas at 5.05pm (terminal 8). Do I have to recheck my bags and go through customs and Immigration in New York and will I have enough time to catch the flight? And what will happen if I don´t make it in time? Please answer me asap and thank you in advance.
You can have your bags
You can have your bags checked thru to Vegas. Your time frame for making the Vegas flight is very tight. If you can get to the gate by 4:55 you will make this flight otherwise you will have to take a later flight

I am thinking of buying a ticket similarly to yours: arriving from Helsinki at 15.50 and leaving to San Diego at 17.15 with American Airlines.

Hi everyone,
I am arriving at terminal 8 and my girlfriend is arriving at terminal 4 one hour before me. Both from international flights. The idea was that she take the Air Tran to terminal 8 and we'd meet somewhere.
Any Ideas for a meeting place at Terminal 8, assuming we both left with our bags and are outside customs and all?
