Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK. T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century. T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world. T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America. T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually. T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year. T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station. T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.
We will be traveling Northwest Airlines into JFK on 4/30/08 on flight #895. What terminal # and gate# does this flight fly into. Also, we have a connecting flight # MS989 with Egypt Air going to Cairo. What Terminal # and gate # will this be at? We will arrive at 3:30pm and leave out at 6:30pm on the same day. Will we have time to gather our luggage and proceed to the connecting flight? If you can just give a an approximate area of gates it would be appreciated.
Can I pull up a map wtih gate #'s on the internet.

If you are traveling on Egyptair flight MS986 to Cairo, Egypt. It is in Terminal 4. When you get to the check in counter of Egyptair. They will tell you which gate it is.
It's Terminal 4, then you will a big huge room with all check-ins for different airlines, Egyptair is on the right side.Check in and they will tell you what Gate it is at.
Hello! I'll arrive to terminal 4 at 8:30 am (Lan flight) and need to get to terminal 8 at 10:15 am to get an international AA flight. Will I have enough time to get through customs and get to the terminal? What's the fastest way and how long will it take? Tks
you need to leave three hours just to go through the security and all that for an international flight..
I'll be arriving at JFK probably terminal 4 about an hour before my sister will be arriving probably terminal 7. can anyone suggest a good place at JFK where we could meet up and how to get there from both terminals? thanks

I have some queires regarding the meet-up point in JFK terminal 4 as i have no idea how it s look like. me and my frind will come from the different flight and want to meey up some where in Terminal 4. After passing the immigration counter, where is the recommended point to meet up as both of us have never been there before. after meet up, we will go to Manhatton by cab. please kindly advise. After clearing Immigration and Customs, how do i transfer my baggage to Terminal 8? I know that i can travel by Air train with my cabin baggage but how do I take my check-in baggage to Terminal 8 from Terminal 4by Air train?
Is it possible and allowed to use baggage cart to carry baggage through Air train? Is it possible to use baggage cart while climbing or getting getting from stairs while going to Terminal 8?
Can I check in my baggage at AA counter at Terminal 4 instead of taking my baggage all the way to Terminal 8?

Hello. Our American Airlines flight arrives at Terminal 8 and we have a connecting flight on Emirates from Terminal 4. What is the easiest way to get there and any tips would be appreciated. Also if there is wireless internet access at Terminal 4. Thanks.

I came to US today through Emiretes EK205 at JFK 8th mar 2008. This is my first trip to US.
I noticed that my luggage was missing. I booked the baggage complaint. When i was waiting near that place One officer (came with wireless) came to me and asked me how can i help you sir. I said i am waiting for my representative, He asked my representative's number and he called that number from his cell phone(acting like talking to my representative). After that call, that officer told me your representative asked you to take a cab and goto hotel. Then he voluntarily called a cab and sent me to the hotel.
The cab driver charged me $480 + tax = 520, I had only 500, I paid 500. The distance i traveld is 46 miles. I took the cab from JFK and I reched my hotel at Amsterdam Hotel, Stamford, Connecticut.
Now i need to book a complaint against the airport personal. Please tell me where to book the complaint.

Hi, I am arriving at terminal 4 by Emirates from Dubai. I am scheduled to arrive at 7:50 AM. I have a connecting flight to Boston at 10:20 AM via Delta. Could you please tell me if a) Delta flies out of Terminal 3? and b) Can terminal 3 be accessed from terminal 4 without having to get out of the building?
