I am arriving from China to Lax on transit to Mexico. Do I need to clear customes in LA?

You will clear US customs at your first point of US entry.

Hi,
I am coming from Rome (w Alitali) to NY JFK. And my next fligt is to Seattle(with Delta). And there is 1 hour 50 min between my arrival and Departure to the Seattle.
What you think; is it possible to enough for passport control and catch for my Seattle flight.

Also; do I have to check my baggage in NY( before or after passport control? )

If your first segment of flight from Rome to JFK won't be late, it is possible to get there on time... usually on non-us citizens customs are large rows, so you should kindly ask staff if they will not let you go through straight to officer :) I think 1:50 is enough time. Queue on customs is cca 30-50 mins when crowded.

My son is arriving at 9.50 pm from Baltimore, on the 08/10/11, to catch a flight next day from JFK to London Heathrow. Is there a suitable area for him to wait in overnight.

Only terminal 4 is open 24 hours, he can hang there. He can take AirTrain to travel between terminals.

My flight is with Etihad Airways, Im coming from Abu Dhabi I land in Terminal 4 at 4:30pm, where can i take my luggage from and how much it will take me to go to terminal 8 using the train airport knowing that I only have 2h 45 min to get there And can i take my luggage inside the train?? The train is for free? And where should I check in in terminal 4 or 8( with etihad or americain airlines?) thank you

When you arrive at T4 you will pick up your bags to clear customs. After you exit customs go to the 3rd floor and take any AirTrain (free) on track 1 to T8, where you will check in for your American Airlines flight. You can certainly take your luggage on AirTrain.

As I told I only have 2h45 min, so do I have the time To get out of my plane and to get my luggage, then go to immigration becauseI'm not amercicain and going to LA not staying in NEw York, and then going to terminal 8 usiing the train from terminal 4??? Is this time enough because I'm Afraid that I'll miss my flight.. Thank you!

2h45min is normally enough time to complete the customs, terminal transfer and check-in process.

Hi
we are arriving in JFK at 5:35am from Bogota on avianca(at terminal 4 I believe). We have a jetblue flight to Chicago at 7:30am (at terminal 5 I believe). Can we make that connection? How where do we clear customs / collect / check bags etc? Thanks

You will collect your bags to clear customs. After exiting customs go to the 3rd floor of T4 and take any AirTrain on track 1 one stop to T5 to check in with Jet Blue. Two hours is minimum time for this connection, you should be ok without any delays.

I have a flight arriving at JFK at 6:00am with Air India. I am about to book a flight for the same day from JFK at 8:20am with Delta. I understand this will mean a change of terminals. Given there are no significant delays, will this two hours and twenty minutes be enough time to get the next flight?

You should have time without delays.

We are scheduled to land at JFK on June 27 from South Africa and depart immediately on a connecting flight to Canada. My daughter has a Tanzanian passport, does she need a transit visa for the US? Can we get this at the airport, or do we need to get it before we leave home?
