This is impossible to answer. Fares can vary considerably by destination (Ohio is a big state), dates of travel, how far in advance the ticket is purchased, airline, class of service, etc. You would be well advised to consult with a travel agent, either in person, or on line.

Please advise what is the best route to follow to reach Cherry Hill New Jersey from JFK - reaching in the afternoon from London to JFK by AA Terminal 8.

my 16 year old daughter is flying from LAX to Cairo. she lands at jfk on a usair flight 4:59 pm and is supposed to get to egypt air ticket counter by no later than 5:30 pm (they close ticket counter 1 hour before departure) for a 6:30 pm flight. questions for you are:
1. is there someone from usair who can escort her to egypt air ?
2. it doesn't seem that there would be enough time. she can't go straight to gate, i was told she needed to check in to get boarding pass ?
3. if she decides to take Airtrain to terminal 4 (Egypt air)from usair (terminal 7), how long would it take and where can she take train from ?
4. Does she take the airline terminal route train only ?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

I'm arriving to JFK on 24 July. Then I have to go to Fairleigh Dickinson University that is in Teaneck, NJ. So could you tell me what is the easiest and cheapest way to go there?

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

You will have to ride JFK Airtrain to Howard Beach Station ($5.00). Take the A train (it has a Blue Circle) to Port Authority Bus Terminal on 42nd St. ($2.25)

You have several choices, but I think NJ Transit will be the best choice. The fare is $4.25. You can check the schedules and fares on the websites:

www.njtransit.com

www.panynj.gov/bus-terminals/port-authority-bus-terminal.html

The NYC subway map is available on mta.com.

The NJ Transit bus will take you to Golf Court and Teaneck Road. To get to the university I don't know if it is within walking distance. Otherwise, you will have to take a taxi unless someone can pick you up. I don't know if the city of Teaneck has a local bus line. Probably it doesn't. Also I don't know how many suitcases you will carry.

It's not easy to move around Jersey my friend, but it's chepaer than a taxi.

Please disregard my previous 'annonymous' message, it was not the best one.

Hope it helps, good luck. :P

I've just noticed that you've written about moving around in New Jersey is not easy by the way. Don't make me panic please, because I had something on my mind while I was thinking to go to New Jersey. I know it's not a safety place as much as Texas :P But I'm sure, it won't be anything bad to me. Or you can handle it if I have something wrong :P

Glad I could help, but I didn't mean to scare you, just wanted to let you know.

I lived in New Jersey for 12 years, I know the state quite well. NJ Transit is a good bus/train system but it still difficult to move around the state. Sometimes there are too many connections to get to where you want to go, or the service is not as frequent as you would like it to be, but at least, it works.

Teaneck is a nice area, you'll be be ok.

Good luck, regards. :P

Hey,

Thank you so much for you kindly reply, it made me relax that you can't even imagine. :P

Hi there:

You will have to use JFK's airtrain from JKF to Howard Beach Station. Then take the subway from JFK to Manhattan Penn Station, then take PATH train to Newark's Penn Station.

To get to Teaneck you will have to ride NJ transit. Check the websites for bus routes, schedules and fares:

mta.com, njtransit.com, panjny.gov/path

Once you get to Teaneck you will have to get a taxi, unless you know someone.

I estimate your combined fare to be around $20 or less. This is the best way, cheaper than a taxi.

It's not easy to move around New Jersey my friend. Good luck. :P

Suerte. :P
