JFK Airport Parking Information
You can use two different types of parking at JFK airport:
Long-Term JFK Airport Parking
Located at Lefferts Blvd, 4 miles from CTA
AirTrain services link parking with the terminals.
Parking rates
$18 for up to 24 hours
$6 for each 8-hour period over first 24 hours
Daily JFK Airport Parking
Green parking - Terminals 1,2,3
Blue parking - Terminal 4
Yellow parking - Terminals 5 & 6
Orange parking - Terminal 7
Red - Terminals 8 & 9
Parking rates
$3 for the first half hour
$6 for up to 1 hour
$3 for each additional half hour, up to $33 maximum each 24-hour period

long term parking
I would park at Smart Park. You have a ride via shuttle to the airport and back and they valet your car. Especially if you are travelling with bags it's so much better then taking the train from LT parking plus it's cheaper.

Long-Term Parking
I use a similar place called Avistar Parking. They're located 120-34 So. Conduit Avenue. You drive their, they valet park your car and someone puts your bags on a shuttle bus, then helps you off with your bags when you get to your terminal. When you get back, you call them on your cell phone and they come pick you up and take you back to the lot, where your car has been brought right near the exit and is waiting for you.
You can print a coupon from their web site and it's $17.50 per day (plus tax and a $3.00 per stay "fuel surcharge").
I used to use the long term parking on Lefferts Blvd, which is a little cheaper, but the hassle of driving around looking for a spot, the having to schlep your bags from the car to the AirTrain then to your terminal is annoying. To me the valet service is well worth a few extra dollars.

Short term is like an hour
Short term is like an hour or two. Long term ($15 per day) is what you want.
HANDICAP VALET PARKING
My husband needs to take his electric chair on the plane and we must take his hanidicap van to the airport and park it for 2 weeks while we are away What are my options?

I believe handicapped individuals are entitled to use short-term lots at discounted rates. See the Port Authority website.
Departure from US Air on Fri Flight leaves 4pm
Need to know where to find handicap parking for a couple of (1-2) hours for a departure from us air on a friday, leaving JFK at 4pm Hope to arrive at JFK by 2pm. Where do I go ?
Plane Delay causes $$ added to parking fee
I didn't bring much $ with me to park and now my sons plane is delayed an extra couple of hours. Seems that JFK parking should provide some discount if the plans are delayed. The hourly cost adds up very fast!!
