I'm trying to get to JFK from Waterbury, Ct, the waterbury transit will get me to grand central station, what would I take from there to get to JFK.

There are three ways to get to JFK from Grand Central:
1. Taxi - it costs flat fare of $50.50+tip.Travel time - 35-50 min.
2. NYAS(New York Airport Service) express bus - it costs $15. Travel time ~ 50min.
It leaves Grand Central every 20-30 min.
3. Public transportation :
Take subway line 6 going uptown for one stop and get off at Lexington Ave/53rd str stop. Then transfer to subway line E going to Jamaica,Queens and get off at Sutphin Blvd stop. From there take Airtrain to JFK terminals. Cost-$7.25;travel time- 1hr-1:15hrs.

dear sirs,
I have to go from Jfk to Manhattan (123 w 57th st.).
I think I can take the E subway's line from Jamaica station till 7th ave station. Is it correct?
I have to arrive to jamaica or stop at Boulevard Sutphin?
In Jamaica/Boulevard Sutphin line E is a full or a part time?
How long I'll take to arrive at 7th ave station?
thank you very much
kind regards
Greta

Dear Greta,
You can take E to 7th Ave , or you can take E to Roosevelt Ave stop and then transfer to F(going the same direction) and get off at 57th street stop. The second option will be closer to your address.
From the terminal take Airtrain to Jamaica station where you will connect with subway E(Sutphin Blvd subway station and Jamaica Airtrain station are connected).
Subway E is express until midnight.
It will take you 50-60min to get to your address.

Can someone please advise me the safest and quickest way to get from the Pennsylvania Hotel on 7th Avenue to JFK Airport in the middle of the day.

Take LIRR from Penn Station to Jamaica Station and then Airtrain to JFK terminals.

What is the best way from JFK to Utica, NY

Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going two different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then either:
-take subway line E to Penn Station(total fare - $7.25;~1 hour) or
-take LIRR train to Penn Station(faster;total fare ~ $12, less on the weekends; 35-45 min.)
From Penn Station take Amtrak train to Utica, NY(fare $55; travel time - 4.5 hrs).

Hi there. What are the ways to go to Holiday Inn North Bergen Lincoln Tunnel from JFK Airport? Also, is there a hotel counter in the terminal to book a hotel? Thanks for the info you will be giving me..

Almost every terminal at JFK has a hotel reservation counter(T2 and T5 are the only ones that don't have)where you can book a hotel.
Ways to go to Holiday Inn North Bergen:
Taxi will be on the meter - expect ~$70.
Public transportation would be another way:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going two different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then either:
-take subway line E to Penn Station(total fare - $7.25;~1 hour) or
-take LIRR train to Penn Station(faster;total fare ~ $12, less on the weekends; 35-45 min.)
From Penn Station take PATH train to Pavonia-Newport Ave stop where you can connect to Hudson Bergen light rail to Tonnelle Ave.The hotel is right across the station at Tonnelle Ave.

Planning a July trip - how long should we allow to get to JFK from Jamaica Station/LIRR? Thank you!

Airtrain runs every 10-15 minutes between Jamaica and the terminals.

Hi I have 11 hours 50 mins between my connection from san francisco to manchester, would this give me enough time to travel to some sights of new york between connections? also will my baggage be transferred to the next flight or will i have to collect that myself and lug it round all day?

Cheers
