At Jamaica Station take the
At Jamaica Station take the E subway to Roosevelt Ave, transfer to the in-bound #7 subway to Queensboro Plaza, transfer to the Astoria-bound N subway one stop to 39th Ave, walk two blocks on 39th Ave to 29th St. AirTrain is $5 and subway is $2.25, in-system subway transfers are free.
Another option, which avoids
Another option, which avoids the up/down transfers at Roosevelt Avenue and at Queensboro Plaza stations is this:
Manhattan bound E train to Queens Plaza station; transfer there to a Manhattan-bound R train on the adjacent track; take the R train one stop to Lexington Avenue station; transfer there to a Queens-bound N or Q train on the adjacent track to 39th Avenue station. This route will probably take a few minutes longer than the other one, but the ease of connections makes the few extra minutes worthwhile.
