You can purchase the 7 day unlimited ride Metrocard at Howard Beach Station but you cannot use it for AirTrain ($5), you can only use the pay-per-ride Metrocard. You can purchase a pay-per-ride card for any amount and add to it as needed.

Hi myself and my wife are arriving on 28th Jul and are thinking of getting the Air Train to Manhattan. I understand we have to transfer at Jamaica onto the E subway; where is the best place to get off at Manhattan to get to 46th St between 7th and 8th Street, not far from Times Sq.

Thanks

Get off at either 50th St or 42nd St, both are about 4 blocks away from your destination.

Hi, I just wanted to know that do relatives coming to receive passengers have to pass through any security check before entering terminal

HI
I WAS WONDERING IF YOU ARE SO KIND TO TELL ME HOW LONG DOES IT TAKES FROM TERMINAL 3 TO TERMINAL 8 WITH YOUR AIR TRAIN AND HOW OFTEN DOES THEY RUN.
PLEASE ANSWER !
MANY MANY THANKS

two minutes

They do run every 5 to 10 minutes. Take an air train on track 1 from terminal 3 to terminal 8.

I'm going to arrive at JFK International Airport next Sunday, and I should get to the Grand Central Station from the airport to take a train to Conneticut. I wonder whether the Airtrain goes to the station or not. And, is there any other way I can get to the station? Or is this the only way? I should arrive at the station as soon as possible.

AirTrain does not go direct to GCS but will take you to the subway; take AirTrain on track 1 to Jamaica Station, transfer to the inbound E subway to Lexington/53rd St, transfer to the downtown #6 subway for one stop to 42nd St/Grand Central. Allow at least one hour travel time and cost is $7.25 including AirTrain. You can also take the NYAirports bus from terminal to GCS, also allow one hour, cost is $15.

Where do I catch the Air Train to travel from Terminal 8 to Terminal 1?

When you arrive at T8 follow the signs to AirTrain and take train on track 2 (terminal loop) to T1.

I will arrive in T8 at 3:30PM on AA and will depart again from T7 on Iceland Air at 8:30 PM. I will need to claim my baggage and then proceed in some manner to T7. What is the best way to get from one T to another T and where are the stations to do so?

When you arrive at T8 follow the signs to AirTrain and take train on track 2 (terminal loop) one stop to T7.

i land in terminal 8 from charles de gaulle and leave to lima from terminal 4 by LAN. i can't check all the way through so i have to retrieve luggage and check it in again. will i make it?

Yes you have to recheck your bags once you clear Customs. Regarding your second question you would have to give me landing time of the first flight and departing time for the second one so I can answer it accordingly.
