The closest train station to Bloomsburg (I assume this is the Bloomsburg near Reading, PA?) is Lancaster and there is service from Penn Station-NYC to Lancaster through Philadelphia. Check Amtrak on-line for schedule and fares. Greyhound bus service only has one morning bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal-NYC to Allentown, PA, nothing to Reading or Lancaster or later in the day. Looks like the train to Lancaster is the best bet. You can get to Penn Station from JFK by NYAS express bus from terminals ($15) or Airtrain from terminals to Jamaica Station and either E subway or LIRR to Penn Station.

Hi, I have read lots of useful comments on how to get from JFK to Port Authority (i.e.Airtrain to Jamaica station then subway E to 42nd/PA, price $7.25). somehow that just seems a bit too cheap - am I missing something? 4 of us are coming to NY on 10 Aug, is this the cheapest way to get into the city please? It all sounds so confusing!!! please help if you can! thank you ;)

That is the correct cost per person. You can also share a taxi $45+tolls+tip for the four of you but Airtrain/subway is still cheapest.

I need help with finding the cheapest way to get to New Brunswick, NJ From JFK. Can you help me please?

Train is cheapest, about $20 total cost. Take Airtrain to Jamaica Station ($5) then E subway to Penn Station ($2.25). At Penn Sta. take the NJ Transit NE Corridor train to New Brunswick ($13).

what is efficient way to get there on a sunday afternoon?

don't want the $45 taxi.

Express bus? If so, where do I find schedule and pick up locations. coming in on american airlines...terminal 8.

I am arriving at JFK Airport for the first time,
to go to Albany for an critical interview early next day.
How to go to Albany from JFK airport? Any convinient transportation available? I did not byy airline service yet.I appreciate your guide!

Hi

just wondering if you can tell me the best and cheapest way by bus or train to get from the jfk airport to the corner Broadway & Amsterdam on augoust 11 2010 at 12.35
Many thanks in advance
Antonio

Another way:
Take Airtrain to Howard Beach Station , then Manhattan bound subway A to Columbus Circle and then uptown bound subway 1,2 or 3 to 72str stop.
JFK_E

Take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, take the E subway to 42nd St./Port Authority, follow signs to transfer to the 1,2,3 subways and take either one uptown to 72nd St. Walk down Broadway one block to the intersection with Amsterdam Ave. Total cost is $7.25.

Hi,
I arrive to JFK on 1st Sept. Is there a bus that can take me to grand central station and do you know where I can get it?

Thanks!

Yes, the NYAS express bus to Grand Central leaves from the ground transportation area of each terminal approximately every 30 minutes.

I will be arriving at JFK airport in september. Is that any buses for me to get to Stamford, Connecticut. Thank you

There are also shuttles like Connecticut Limo or Prime Time(which is door-to-door) that can take you straight from JFK(any terminal) to Stamford. Just check with the folks at Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) counter for prices and schedules.
JFK_E

Check Greyhound online for fares and schedules from NYC to Stamford. Buses depart from Port Authority Bus Terminal. You can also take the MTA-Metro North New Haven line train from Grand Central Station or Amtrak Northeast Corridor train from Penn Station. Bus and Metro North are generally cheaper than Amtrak. NYAS express bus has shuttles to all three locations from each terminal.
