KLM flight to Amsterdam
Hi,
My agency in Amsterdam has a group of 50 pax waiting in New York to go back to Amsterdam.KL 643 is arr at JFK at 22.05. Do you know when it will be flying back to Amsterdam as KL 642 or KL 644.
Do you have the telephone nr of the KLM office at JFK/

I am planning on travelling
I am planning on travelling through JFK in September. My connection gets in from Tampa at about 13.55 with my connecting flight to the UK leaving at 19:45. Therefore I will have a near 5 hour lay over. Will I therefore have enough time to do any sight seeing? If so what is within easy access of the airport i.e. taxi drive?

You won't have that much time given the fact that you have to be at the airport 2, 2 and 1/2 hours prior to your departure. The fastest way of transportation from JFK to the city is a taxi(flat $50)and it will take you around 40 min each way(if there is no traffic).
So if you do the math , you will be left with one hour for sightseeing - I will leave it up to you do decide if it is worth it or not.

Delta from JFK to NCE
Hi everyone,
My plane is supposed to leave NCE to JFK on Friday 23rd.
Flight DL83 10:35AM
Despite the fact that the NCE airport is open to commercial flight because not affected yet by the ash cloud, no Delta plane landed since Saturday. 0 delta plane landing means 0 Delta plane taking off and since Sunday all the DL83 scheduled at 10:35AM are cancelled.
Does anybody at JFK can tell me why the Delta DL82 (sharing AF8703) is not leaving JFK?

The only right answer for that question will come from Delta. I know it is very hard to contact any airline nowadays, but I can assure you it is not JFK authorities that hold the flights on that route.

If your flight is to the UK,
If your flight is to the UK, it's *probably* because the UK airspace is closed, due to the ash cloud caused by the volcano eruption in Iceland. In fact, most of European airspace is closed.

i look for my siser. she is since saturday on the JFK-airport and her mobile pone dosn'work. Is there any hotline, where I can phone, so that they call my sister to the phone. It's urgent.

My Wife and Kids are
My Wife and Kids are supposed to Leave from IAD to MAA . AIR india is flying only from JFK (Instead of IAD as planned before ) They say they will let my Wife and Kids to fly until JFK through another airlines
Can I still check-in the Luggage till MMA(Chennai-india)?

what are other ways of contacting the airlines?
I'm tying to contact by calling my airline company Austrian Airlines all morning and look like it does not exists. All calls in here and Europe are down.
The only advice they give in their website is to call them 6 hours before flight or before leave for airport but they are to be found nowhere.
which is the best way to aproach? Is not just wasted time (from where I live is 2 hours driving
to the airport, and I have to get e cab) but waste of money too, to come to airport and get the answer "No there is no flight tonight"
European airspace reopening
After a few test flights of KLM, Air France and Lufthansa, Eurocontrol said they will release the airspace shortly.
Airspace above eastern Europe has already been opened and some airports in the eastern Europe region are fully operative as we speak.
Please note that it will take some time before all flights are operative again and please note that airport mortuaries and some cargo will get priority.
Dutch airspace will be closed untill 20:00 (8.00 P.M.). KLM brought 8 extra aircraft back to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
