Hi, is it possible to claim tax back at JFK Terminal 4 if you are an EU citizen returning home?

No , claiming tax back in US had been ceased couple of years ago.

My parents came from India through qatar airway on Friday 23rd April. By mistake they picked up the wrong suitcase whcih we foud out after reaching home. Tried to contact qatar baggage services and left messages, no reply yet.
Is there is any other phone or serices that i can contact in JFK terminal to return the luggage and pick ours??

Thanks
mdasif

You have to go to JFK, Terminal 4 and exchange the bags there. No need to call them , the best time to go there is when they have incoming/outgoing flight(every day from 3pm till 9pm).

Thank you for your reply. Baggage services returnde my call. You are right i had to go there in person return my bag and pick up mine.
Thank You

On a Saturday (next month), I arrive from JetBlue at Terminal 5 @ 07:11 Am, need to take my baggages with me (maybe the trolly would be helpful) & I need to get to Terminal 4 to catch my Emirates flight at 11:20 AM. What is the best way to get from Terminal 5 to Terminal 4, just walking or the AirTrain (either way pushing that Trolly along)? Is there plenty of time to go through security, check my luggage with Emirates, etc.? What should I do exactly once I reach to Terminal 5, where is their baggage claim? If I take the AirTrain, which floor would that be and then which way should I take it (which track)? Once at Terminal 4, what floor do I go to check in my luggage with Emirates? Thank you so much, I don't want to get lost (next terminal down) to miss my flight. I'd appreciate all the help I can get.

After you arrive at T5 you have to go the 1st floor, look at the monitors for the baggage belt number corresponding to your flight and collect your bags. There are baggage carts next to the belts. You pay(either cash or credit card) for them $5(nonrefundable). From there on you have two options:
-step out of the building and walk to your left. There is a walkaway from T5 to T4. It will take you no more than 5-10 minutes to get to terminal 4;
-take the elevator to the third floor, walk to the Airtrain station and take Airtrain on track 2;get off next stop. You can have the baggage cart on the train.
This will take you 10 min to get to T4.

Once at Terminal 4 take the elevator to the 4th floor and look at the monitors to see which row Emirates is checking at.
You have plenty of time to do all that.
You may check if Jet Blue does not transfer your luggage automatically over to Emirates.

Hello,
I will be catching a Virgin America flight from JFK to LA where i will transfer to a VAustralia flight to melbourne. when checking in at JFK is it a domestic or International Checkin, and how many hours in advance is recommended?

Many Thanks

All you need to look for is Check-in for Virgin America( I am sure it will be domestic). Be there at least 2-2.5 hours in advance.

hi i hope to fly on aer lingus to jfk in june the flight is scheduled to land at 13.15. i am hoping to book onto delta 193 to atlanta which will depart at 15.15 . i am just wondering will that be enough time to get are bags go through customs and check are bags back in with delta or is there a way were the bags can be sent to the delta flight. most import wood 2hours be enough if flights are on time
Thanks for your help

Two hours are enough if the Aer Lingus is on time.
After you pass customs you can go to Connecting flights counter for Aer Lingus and have them transfer your bags directly onto your next Delta flight.
JFK_E

is the aer lingus counter close to the customs checks. like how long will it take to recheck them them.

Is the connecting flight counter for american airlines in terminal 8 located "before" the the passenger gets to the receiving area, or is it in the receiving area?

Thanks in advance

It is right before that.
