Hello,

I hope you can help me. I'm arriving from Mcallen, Tx (American Airlines), next Saturday. And a couple of fiends’ flight arrives from Monterrey, Mx. (international flight - Aeromexico)

Where do we can meet to go to our hotel? And what is the best and cheapest way to get the hotel in 42th

Best Regards,

Next Friday evening we're arriving at JFK terminal 8 via San Francisco and our husbands fly in from the UK and arrive at terminal 7. Their flight is scheduled to arrive 15 minutes before ours, but given we would have cleared customs in SF and they'll have to clear customs in NY where would you suggest we meet... which terminal and can you suggest a meeting place.

Thanks

Very good place to meet is at Terminal 7, 1st floor , by Starbucks coffee shop. There are seating places there.
From T8 take Airtrain on the second floor, on track 2 and get off next stop at T7.

Hello,
I hope you can help me to sove this problem:
My son is starting just now from MXP (Italy) with the American Airlines 199 flghth, ariving at JFK at terminal 8 and has an AA conecting flight to Chicago from T8.
BUT the flight form MXP has a 3.30 hours of delay, so, the Chicago connection is lost.
For this reason, my son received a boarding pass of DELTA (JFK to ORD) from Terminal 3.
Can you please tell me how can he re-check the bag ?
And also, what is the esiest way to go from T8 to T3 ?

Thank you in advance.

Let him collect his bags and take Airtrain on the second floor of T8, on track 2 to Terminal 3(Delta). There he can re-check his bags .

Dear JFK Employee,

I arrive on Delta from Stockholm at 2pm, so I guess I will be at terminal 3? How do I get from there to terminal 8? If I book a flight on American at 5pm will that be enough time to clear customs and get over to terminal 8?

You will be arriving at Terminal 3. Follow the signs to the Airtrain platform(it is a long walk up the ramp)and take ANY Airtrain on ANY track to Terminal 8.
Three hours layover time is more than enough.

If we arrive after midnight can we just wait airside for our 6am flight
Or does the terminal close?

I know the euro cafe is open all the time so I assume we're allowed to wait. Thanks,

Jim

Jim,
Yes, you are allowed to wait inside.

They kicked us out. We were sitting quietly (not lying down -- that's against the rules) watching the CNN monitor when a TSA agent said we had to leave. They also kicked out 4 young girls who were waiting by another gate.

First they said it was so they could clean.

Then by the security checkpoint when I asked why the 24 hour restaurant was open 24 hours if we had to leave they said it was a "security issue." Lame.

So we rode the airtrain until 3:30am.

I don't mind leaving if they truly have set hours; but this was just silly.

Hi,
I'm not sure if this can be answered here, but I will ask anyways and cross my fingers. I will be flying to mexico from terminal 8 this tuesday on air mexicana. I know on my way there I will go through immigration and customs when I land in cancun. When I come back to the united states I leave from cancun airport and switch planes in mexico city (air mexicana the whole way)and then from mexico city back to JFK (still air mexicana). My qustion is (if anyone can answer it) is if I have to re-check luggage in mexico city (to go through customs/immigration there) or will i go through customs/immigration in cancun and my luggage will be transferred to my plane automatically in mexico city. I know i have to go through customs/immigration when i land in JFK also. I'm only asking about the customs/immigration when leaving mexico. Thanks again!

When leaving Mexico you do not clear customs nor immigration(you will do it at JFK upon entering USA).
I will assume that your bags will be transferred automatically(checked through from CUN to JFK). You don't have to pick them up at Mexico City . But again, this is my assumption - double check with folks at Mexicana Air.

Hello, I am coming in from London on an AA flight at 2:40 PM, and have a connecting flight to San Diego on AA at 4:00 PM. I am unfamiliar with JFK airport, so I was wondering if the 1 hr and 20 min will be enough time to catch my connecting flight. Are there any tips that could help me ensure that I catch my outgoing flight?

You should be fine with that time frame. You are flying both flights on the same airline which means you don't have to change terminals at JFK. After you pass customs just go up on the third floor , go through security and look for the gate for San Diego flight.

Hi,

What is a convenient place to wait for arriving passengers in terminal 8?

Thanks!
