Travelling from JFK to LGA
Hi
Can someone please suggest the best option of getting from JFK to LGA. Should I take an Airport Shuttle or a Taxi and what are the approximate fares for each mode of transportation.
Thanks.
re:best option of getting from JFK to LGA
Taxi will take you there in 20-40 min(depending on the traffic) and it will charge you on the meter. Expect ~$30.
NYAS bus runs to LGA for $13/passenger every 30 min and it picks up in front of every terminal(starting from T4->T5->etc). If you happen to hop on the bus at the last stop at JFK(which is T3) then it will take as long as a taxi. Otherwise, add an additional 10-15 min.

fare from JFK to Pittsburgh
Could you give an indication as to how much a cab fare would be from JFK (Terminal 1) to Dubois, Pittsburgh.
Thanks
re:cab fare would be from JFK (Terminal 1) to Dubois, Pittsburgh
Taxi would be very expensive($$$). You can go to Penn Station and take Amtrak train to Pittsburgh, it costs only ~$100.

about a baby traveller
Does a baby (20 months) can get into a taxi with his parents without a baby chair? In other words, is it possible to take in JFK (or NYC) with the baby on his mother's lap?
re:Does a baby (20 months) can get into a taxi with his parents
Not according to NYS law.
A baby has to be placed in a baby seat.

Taxi for 4 to Manhattan
Could you please advise if it is possible to get a taxi for 4 people + 4 bags in the same taxi or do we have to get a second taxi or take a shuttle or private car.
Thanks
re:it is possible to get a taxi for 4 people + 4 bags in the sam
Yes, just request from the taxi dispatcher such a taxi - some of them have bigger baggage compartment and all of them can take 4 people. The prices are all the same.

Return Taxi
We arrive from the UK on 15 May and will be using a yellow cab to take advantage of the flat fare to Manhattan. Can you book a return trip to JFK and take advantage of the flat fare again?
re:Return Taxi
You can not pre-book an yellow cab - just grab one on the spot(anywhere on the street) in Manhattan and they will charge you flat fare to JFK.
