-Taxi
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.

-Public
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going on two different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to 53rd street/Lexington Ave stop, then transfer to line 6 going downtown and get off at 28th street stop (cost-$7.25).

-Shuttle
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation
counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any hotel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person.

Will be arriving at JFK on 6th June at 21.00 and need to get 118 east 40th street to the bedford hotel ?? What is my best option

A cab will cost you flat $50.50(including toll; for the whole taxi).
Door-to-door shuttle as another option - $18.50/person. If you still consider that, you can book the shuttle at Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) counter.
Public - take Airtrain to Jamaica station, then Subway E to 50th street stop and transfer to subway line 6(direction downtown) for one stop to Grand Central.
walk south on Park Ave 2 blocks and make left on E40 str. The hotel is half a block away.Cost - $7.25/person.

Hi,
I am traveling with my 5 month old baby. I need to get from JFK to EWR and still thinking of taking or a cab or a shuttle. Do I need to take my own infant seat? Do you know if they provide them? big thanks

By NY law they(taxi or shuttles) are not obliged to have the baby in the seat. If you want to bring your own baby seat , they will comply with your wish.

I am arriving at JFK June 17 and need to transfer to a flight out of LGA. I understand there is a shuttle that runs between the two airports. Does this service need to be booked ahead of time or can you just get on and pay at JFK?

No need to book the service ahead - just wait for the bus(NYAS) in front of the each terminal(it comes every 30 min) and pay on the bus(or pay to the rep)

Hello,

I arrive with an international flight at 6 a.m. I need to go to 19 West 103rd Street, Upper West Side. Which shuttle do you advise me to take, and where should I get off?

Thank you.

Here are some of the ways to get to your address:
1. Taxi
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.

2. Public
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Howard Beach Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the green colored sign is Howard Beach one). Then take subway line A(direction Manhattan) to Columbus Circle stop and transfer to B or C lines (direction uptown).Get off at 103rd street stop and walk 1 block west on 103rd street - the address is to your right . Cost-$7.25/passenger.

3. Shuttle
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation
counter or Welcome Center in any terminal) that goes to any hotel/hostel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person.

I need to leave my car at JFK for my husband to pick up a few days after I take a one-way flight out of Newark. How do I get from JFK to Newark and how much will it cost?

There is very convenient shuttle (called State Shuttle) that goes between Newark Airport and JFK every hour. It costs $30/passenger and you can book it at Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) counter at each terminal.
Another way is to take a taxi - it will charge you on the meter (expect ~$80-$90).
Let us know if you considering public transportation(the slowest and the cheapest way).

Do you have any idea how long State Shuttle takes to go from JFK to EWR and does it run 24/7? I think this is the best option for me as i fly in on SAA to JFK and then need to transfer to meet a group flying out of EWR and then the same upon my return leg.

hi i will be arriving at JFK with my partner on 22nd Dec 2010. please advise the best travel option and approx cost from JFK to 7th ave near times square.

thanks
