There are 8 operating airline terminals At JFK Airport, Terminals 1 to 8. Terminals are located around the central terminal area (CTA). The terminals and parking lots in the central terminal area are divided into five areas.

You'll clear US
You'll clear US Customs/Immig. at Halifax, no need to do so at JFK. Check with AA about the bag issue, if not you'll need to claim your bags. Take Airtrain on track 2 from T8 to T1 and check in with TAM for your flight. There are small shops in T1.
Which terminals do I arrive and leave from
I am arriving on a Delta flight from Nice on Friday 25th June at 1.39pm and taking a Delta flight to Philadelphia at 3.00pm. Which terminals do they arrive and leave from and do I have enough time to get to my connecting flight ?

Nice flight arrives at Terminal 3, Philadelphia flight may depart out of T3 or T2.
As long as Nice flight is on time you should be fine.

International connection between terminal 1 and terminal 4
I'm arriving on an Aero Mexico flight on terminal 1 and have to connect to an Air India flight on terminal 4. I have the following questions:
1) Can I get to terminal 4, from terminal 1, with out having to go through customs/immigration?
2) Would Aero Mexico be able to transfer my checked baggage to Air India?
3) Since this is kind of a long lay over, is there any facility inside a terminal where I can rest?

1.) Even transiting through USA you HAVE TO go through immigration and customs.
2.) It depends if both airlines have a baggage agreement transfer.
3.) Nothing more than chairs. Paid Lounge at Terminal 4 ($40, for 3-4 hours)

Since you are transiting through USA you will need either visa or passport, depending on your nationality.

I am flying to JFK Jet Blue from Pittsburgh tomorrow, meeting friends flying in from Vancouver on American Airlines. Which terminal will they land at and what is the best and quickest way to get there from my terminal.

Jet Blue will land you at T5, AA is at T8. Take Airtrain between the terminals.

I will be arriving JFK on Delta at 6:25 p.m. from Richmond VA for flight to Venice that leaves on Delta at 7:30 p.m. Am traveling with group of ladies - will we be able to make the 7:30 flight? Some are worried we won't have enough time.

You will be OK as long as Delta from RIC is not late.

I land in Terminal 4, and am meeting friend in Terminal 3. What is the best way to get between the terminals, and where is the best place for me to meet her?
