AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK

It also serves as an on-airport service connecting the airline terminals, rental

Hi. How can i go from T4 to T3? How long will it take? Is 1 hour layover enough to make it?

I will be travelling from JFK to Orchard St in Manhattan, arriving 17th July, departing 22nd July. Looks like I can take the Airtrain to Jamaica, then subway J/Z to Essex/Delancey, but the MTA planner doesn't suggest that route. Am I missing something, or would that work? Thanks.

From Jamaica the J subway to Essex St. or Bowery (depends where on Orchard you're heading to) will get you close enough to your destination without having to transfer to other subway lines. BTW the Z subway operates during rush hour only AM inbound and PM outbound.

Hello,
I have a 14 days metrocard, do i have to pay to take the airtrain at howard beach?
Thanks a lot.

14 days metrocard is a strictly subway metrocard, not Airtrain. Therefore you have to buy a separate pay-per-ride metrocard with $5 on it to use the Airtrain.

Hi

How long does it take to travel from terminal 4 to terminal 3 by Airtrain. I have a 3 hours stopover at terminal 3 to finish my immigration and customs. Will 3 hours be enough to finish immigration and customs and then switch over to terminal 3 from terminal 4 to catch my connecting flight. Thank You.

Regards,
Rohita.

Hi Rohita,
It takes less than a minute travel time by Airtrain.
Three hours is plenty of time to complete immigration/customs formalities.
JFK_E

thank you for your prompt reply. I have another doubt : can i take the luggage carts on the airtrain and if I have to recheck my bags in terminal 3 from terminal 4 will the three hours of stop over time be enough and i would like to know if porter facilities are available to transfer luggage between terminals. Thanks again!

Rohita.

You can take a luggage cart on Airtrain. Three hours is enough regardless where you will be check-in the bags. Porters are available but do not count on them - not all of them agree to take the bags between the terminals.

PLEASE I ARRIVE JFK TERMINAL 3 DL263 AND DEPART FROM TERMINAL 2 TO SFO WITH DL1665. CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW TO GO FROM TERMINAL 3 TO TERMINAL 2? HOW MANY TIME DOES IT TAKE? DO THEY CHECK PASSPORT AGAIN?THANKS

Terminals 2 and 3 are connected - just follow the signs for your gate number. It takes no more than 10 min. In your case , you have to clear security at T3 and there you have to present boarding pass along with your passport.

I am expected to arrive at Terminal 7 at 1310 and catch a connection flight to Boston which departs at 1540 at Terminal 8.

(1) Do I have to go through Immigration at Terminal 7 before proceeding to Terminal 8?
(2) How do I get to Terminal 8?
(3) How long does it takes to Terminal 8?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Many thanks, Mrs Dawson

1.) Yes , only if you arriving on international flight.
2.) Take Airtrain on track 1 for one stop
3.) less than 1 min.

I am arriving at JFK by AF35193 and need to go to Subway A.
Where do I buy a MetroCard (pay per ride)?
Is it possible at the Howard Beach Station either by vending machine or booth?

When you get to the Howard Beach station on the Airtrain there are self-service machines where you can purchase your Airtrain fare and subway fare on the same Metrocard. There are also nice people there to assist you.
