Hi, I am landing at JFK at 13:50 from Europe and my connection flight to SFO is at 18:10 (4 h 20 min time interval). Considering the custom time, would it be possible to make a round trip by taxi to NY (say up to Manhattan and back)? How much would it cost approximately?

You will spend close to an hour in immigration/customs after your flight from Europe. Taxi ride to Manhattan takes around 45-50 min, one way(flat fare of $50.50). Don't forget that you have to be at the airport at least 2 hours in advance for your SFO flight. If I am doing the math correctly - it would be very tight for you, not to say impossible.

I really doubt you could make a round-trip in time, especially with a taxi (jfk to manhattan is $45, manhattan to jfk could be a bit more). Using the airport shuttle and the LIRR (Long Island Rail) to Penn Station takes about 45 min and costs $12. So a round trip with the AirTrain+LIRR would take about 90 min and cost about max $25.

Hi
Is there a porter service that will assist transfer for my family. They are unable to thru check bags so must collect and bring with them and the connection is tight 90 min. Trollys only can be used do far and not allowed on the airtrain to the best of my knowladge.

Not all the porters agree to take passengers from one terminal to another. Baggage carts can be used and they are permitted on Airtrain.

Hi
what is the best way to get from
terminal 3 baggage claim to Brooklyn ?
thanks

There is also public bus B15, that leaves out of T4 and goes to Brooklyn. See the map for reference:

Airtrain to Jamaica and then LIRR to Flatbush(with stops at Nostrand Ave and East New York) , Brooklyn is another way to go there.

Where in Brooklyn? Best way is by a taxi which will take you direct to your destination, your fare is on the meter, fare to downtown Brooklyn is about $50. You can take the subway but which subway lines you take will depend where in Brooklyn you are going.

Has the runway 13-31 construction been completed ? If not, what is the anticipated completion date?

Generally - yes. There would be no more delays associated with that construction. They will stil work on it for 1 more year, but the work is minor and it won't cause any delays.

is there a way to buy apple products at JFKIAT? I'll be there next month and would like to now if it is possible to buy an IPad there

I have not seen such a store at JFK.

I arrive T1 with TK 001 at 2.45pm and need to be in T5 for a JetBlue flight at 5.29 pm.

How do I get from T1 to T5? and is there a check in kiosk in T5? HOw long does it take to get from one terminal to the other

Thanks

Use Airtrain on any track to get to terminal 5. You have plenty of time - it will take you only 5-10 min to transfer. There are a lot of check-in kiosks at T5, even some of them on the way from Airtrain Station to T5 .

It says Terminal 5 is temporarily closed. I have a flight to SFO from JFK on Jet Blue. Which terminal will it depart from?

Thanks
