Transit Connection
I am an American citizen and will land at Terminal 4 from overseas.
My conecting domestic flight is American Airlines from Terminal 8 two hours later (if there are no arrival/departure delays).
Is two hours enough to get luggage, clear customs, immigration check, security checks and get to Terminal 8 in time for my connecting flight?
What if I don't make it?

transit visit
I have a friend coming from her country to Fort-Worth, Texas as an student. She has a transition of 4 hrs at jfk. I am in New York City. Is it possible to come her out and see me at any place in the airport?
Thanks in advance...
Yes, it is possible.
Yes, it is possible.
Coming for a trade fair
I'm coming over from the UK to exhibit at the New York International Gift Fair. I'm having trouble finding out the value of goods I can bring over in my baggage. I've heard that I can bring $2000 per person of goods (these are samples, not for sale), but I don't know if this is true and I'm really worried about getting my work confiscated or paying a big fine. Also some of my work contains porcupine quills and pieces of leather - is this ok?

From CBP website If you are
From CBP website
If you are a nonresident visiting the U.S. with gifts, your personal belongings, or goods for resale, there is a possibility you will not have to pay duty. For instance, if you are visiting the U.S. for 72 hours or more you are allowed to bring up to $100 worth of goods duty-free. If the value of the gift exceeds $100, you will be required to pay duty. If you have goods you intend to sell in the U.S., they will most likely be subject to duty, unless they are eligible for duty-free treatment under an international trade agreement (GSP, NAFTA, etc.). The process for bringing goods for resale to the United States can be very involved, so you should make arrangements with a customs broker in advance to have your goods cleared through Customs and Border Protection. A list of Customs brokers is available under the ports section of this site.

Directions to Terminal 7 from T8
We arrive at T8 Saturday 8PM, would meet our tour guide in front of "Hudson News" at the arrival level of terminal 7. would need instructions for taking the air-train from T8 to T7 arrival level. Thanks.
re:Directions to Terminal 7 from T8
Go to the second floor of T8 and follow the signs to the Airtrain. Take the train on track 2 only and get off next stop-T7. Go to the first floor and there you will see Hudson News stand.

Hello, I have been issued F1
Hello, I have been issued F1 visa and I am going to attend SUNY at Buffalo this Fall. The signature in my passport is in my native language which is Bengali, whereas I signed the I-20 in English. For when I applied to the university I signed all the documents in English, I thought of signing the I-20 in the same manner. However I am afraid now if it will be a major issue at the airport. It may be mentioned here that it was specified by the university authority that my name should appear on the I-20 as same as it appears on my passport, but nothing was stated about the signature. I asked the International Service department at the university about this issue and I was told that it should not be a problem at the airport. However I would appreciate if I am informed of any problem I might face at the airport due to the aforesaid circumstances. Thank you.
re:Hello, I have been issued F1
In what language is the signature will not matter in this case.

Terminal 8 to Terminal 4
I'm traveling to India from US with a family of 4 including an autisitic child in November. My domestic AA flight arrives in JFK Terminal 8 at 2:59 pm and the Air India flight leaves from Terminal 4 at 5:05pm.
Do I have enough time for the transfer? Are there any special services for autistic kids at the airport to help with the transfer? If Air train is a problem for the child, how long does a taxi ride take between Terminal 8 and 4?
You have plenty of time.
You have plenty of time. There is no special services at JFK for that purpose. Taxi ride between those two terminals will take you no more than 10-15 min.
Check-in
My sister and I are flying out of jfk but on different airlines. Her on jet blue and me on us air, do we check in at same place or go to different terminals? We also are dropping a car before hand so we are trying to plan our very early arrival for 6:30 flights. Thanks for any and all help!
The check-in would be at
The check-in would be at different terminals - Jet Blue at T5, US Air at T7.
