That is correct on your first question - you won't need to deal with your bags till your final destination.
It is slightly different story with the stroller though.
Since it is a "baby-item" and you may need it during your lay-over at JFK, that is why it will be given to you at the time of leaving the airplane at JFK. You have to check it in at the gate when you take your second flight and again it will be given to you at the gate when you leave the plane at the final destination.

So, they just check it before I board my second flight or do I have to deal with security again?

You don't have to deal with security again - just have the gate agent check it before your second flight.

Oh, ok. Thanks :)

I am supposed to pick up someone arriving on a jetblue flight. Your site says Terminal 5 is closed. Which terminal do the JetBlue flights arrive at?

Terminal 5 is open.

Will this flight arrive at terminal 5 in JFK?

We will be arriving by 'Emirates' in Terminal 4 and will be going for onward travel in Jetblue.
How do we transfer our baggage for check-in to Jetblue flight at Terminal 5 ?
Can we drop our luggaages at the transfer counter at terminal 4 ?

Jet Blue does not have baggage transfer agreement with Emirates . Take your bags with you over to T5 and check them in there.

My kids are coming in from TPA on Saturday, but according to this the JetBlue Terminal is closed where would I go to pick them up, what terminal?

The new Terminal 5 is open and Jet Blue from TPA arrives there.

Hi,
I am arriving at JFK terminal 1 from Raleight/Durham, with JetBlue 12.10 on the 19th of August and catching a connecting flight to Iceland, with Icelandair, teminal 7, 14.05. I only have 1 hour and 55 minutes between the flights. I was wondering if you think I will be able to catch my connecting flight, and if I have to recheck my bags, do immigration, customs, etc. Does Jet Blue have a baggage transfer agreement with Icelandair?
In other words, what is entailed from the time I get off my flight to getting on the connecting flight? What is the quickest/easiest way to get between these terminals?
Thanks alot.

Jet Blue does not have a baggage agreement with Iceland Air, so you have to pick up your bags and check them in at Terminal 7 with Iceland Air.
No immigration/customs involved in your case.
If you manage to get your bags , let's say within 25-30 min at Jet Blue(absolutely possible) , you will be able to make the second flight.
Take Airtrain on the third floor of T5, on track 1 and get off next stop(T7). The whole transfer will take you no more than 10-15 min. Make sure you are at Iceland Air check-in counter at least 1 hour prior.

I will be arriving at Terminal 1 with an international Alitalia flight at 1:55PM, and I have a connection; a JetBlue flight that leaves at 4:45PM. Taking into consideration that I am not a US citizen and will have two checked-in baggages, will I be able to make it? I would really appreciate any help as I haven't bought the JetBlue tickets yet. Thank you.

If your Alitalia flight is on time arriving you will have almost three hours between flights which is plenty of time to clear customs and go to terminal 5-Jet Blue.
