You should be ok for Amsterdam, it's only got one terminal so unless you are coming out of a sterile area your ok. Just to be safe a phone call to the Dutch Embassey should'nt bankrupt you.

yea, i think i really need to get a transit visa. It is such a pain in the ass. i will only be waiting at the airport for 3 hours but i still need to get a transit visa which is time consuming. I tried to search for flights that won't pass through US aside Haiti, but it's so impossible

Immigration, customs and Transfer from T4 to T3
My wife, daughter and myself will be going from Dhaka-Doha to JFK( Qatar Air QR 83) and to Atlanta(Delta Air DL 73). Our transit time at JFK is about 4 hours. We will be traveling on an immigrant visas. According to the itinerary we will have to transfer from T4 to T3 at JFK. My question is: Is the time sufficient to go through immigration formalities for new immigrants, reclaim baggage, clear customs, recheck baggage with Delta and then move to T3 to avail the Delta connecting flight? Delta's DL 73 is the last flight to Atlanta for the day. What happens if we miss the flight due to delay in the above formalities? Any comments or helpful suggestions will be accepted with gratitude.

If you miss the flight then Delta have to reschedule you for the next available flight.

lost baggage
my mother flew from dublin to shannon and then from shannon to JFK on the 4th of august with aer lingus and then got another connecting flight with american airlines to miami then onto mexico ...when she arrived in miami she realised her suitcase hadnt arrived in miami! so i am trying to find out if her case is still in JFK! could somebody please help me as she is in mexico for 3 and a half weeks and now has no case!

Just read your blog again and noticed if she flew from Dublin to Shannon then she flew on the EI 133 which continues on to Boston. She would have transfered on to the EI 111 to Jfk. Maybe her bag did'nt transfer with her!!!!!!!!!!
