opening hours
Hi ... I will be arriving to JFK on the 13th of december at @ 9 pm .. and will have to catch another plane on the 14th of december at 6am meaning most probably I'll have to check in at about 4am or sooner.. I will like to know if it's possible to just wait in the airport instead of staying at a hotel ??..

Yes, Terminal 4 is open 24/7 and it is often used by the travelers for overnight stay.

Take Airtrain on the third floor of T4. It does not matter on which track - T8 is three stops away(~3-4mins ride).
Good place to meet at T8 is by the coffee shop on the first floor.

Transfer
Hi, I;m arriving to JFK september 16th at around 7am with American Airlines from Uruguay. Then we are taking a flight on our own from JFK to Pittsburgh in Delta Airlines. I already know very well JFK airport and airtrain...so i know ill probably land in terminal 8 and will need to go to terminal 3. Our flight to pittsburgh is at 12 noon...will that be ok? Do we have enough time to pick our baggage and then check in at delta??? thank you!!!!!

We'll be arriving at JFK on Jet Blue from BQN on Nov 21st at 2:00pm. We then transfer on our own to Air France to fly out to Paris on a 4:40pm flight. Is there a baggage contract between the two airlines? If not, considering the time it takes to pick our bags, transfer, and re-check at Air France, do we have enough time?

There is no baggage transfer agreement between Jet Blue and Air France. Two hours and forty minutes is enough to pick up the bags from Jet Blue, transfer to Air France terminal and check in with them for the next flight.

Two hours would be kind of
Two hours would be kind of tight considering the fact that you have to clear customs,immigration, transfer from T3 to T5 and check in there with Jet Blue.
