Take NYAS express bus($15) from Grand Central - it will take you roughly 45min to one hour to get to JFK. You have to be at JFK at 4pm the latest.

If we arrive in Newark at 15:15, and the plane leaves from La Guardia 19:50 - would we be able to transfer i time? And how do we know where we would take the shuttle from? How much does it cost, and is it easy to find? We've never been in NY before.

You can take the Go Airlink Shuttle from your terminal at Newark to LaGuardia. You can book online at www.goairlinkshuttle.com and get cost info.

Can you please tell me how to travel with the subway from JFK to the nearest station to "the New Yorker" hotel,481 Eighth Avenue,NY ?

THNX.

Take Airtrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, then take either E subway to 34th St./Penn Station or LIRR (faster and a bit more expensive than subway but the trains have overhead luggage racks so it may be easier for travelers) to Penn Station. Exit to 8th Ave. and your hotel is one block north at 34th St.

I'm not sure I understood very well: is the shuttle service available just for one person too or do you have to hire it for a group? I'm travelling alone and I'm arriving to JFK quite late at night, so I'd prefer not to take the subway...and the taxi is quite expensive...this could be the perfect alternative! Thanks for the explication :)

The shuttle service can be either private(for one person or group of people up to the capacity of the shuttle) or shared - where different people share the ride to their destinations.
It is very hard to get a shared ride at late night - primarily because the demand is not big. You can always try at the self-service phones at Ground Transportation(or Welcome Center) to call one of the companies and see if their shared ride service is still available.

Do the shuttle services provide infant car seats? If not, what's the best (safest) way to get from JFK to the East Village?

No, they do not, since they are not required by NY state law.

I will arrive from Minneapolis to LaGuardia at 12:25 AM and I need to catch a flight to Europe from JFK at 17:40 PM. Is there enough time to change the airport?
What happens if my luggage is delayed or gets stuck at LaGuardia?

You can take a taxi or NYAS shuttle bus between airports, takes about 30 minutes. You should have time.

Do the shuttle services travel between JFK and the Bronx? Would it be a lot more expensive than being dropped off in Manhattan to take a shuttle? If I decide to go by public transportation which subway line goes to the Bronx?

Thanks!

Where in the Bronx are you going? There are over six subway lines that serve the Bronx. You would have to take Airtrain to Jamaica Station and then E subway to Manhattan to transfer to the Bronx-bound subways. Tell me where you are going (address or intersection) and I'll tell you which line to take and where to make the transfers. You can also inquire at Ground Transportation about the SuperShuttle shared ride service.

Thanks for your reply. I am going close to Allerton Avenue/East Chester Avenue. Someone told me it's the 2 subway? Really appreciate your help and advice!

Yes, there is an Allerton Ave. (at White Plains Rd.) stop on the #2. Easiest is to take the E subway from Jamaica Station to 42nd St. and transfer there to the #2. It's a long walk from the subway station at Allerton Ave. to Eastchester Ave., the B26 bus from the station runs along Allerton Ave.
