AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK

It also serves as an on-airport service connecting the airline terminals, rental

Arriving after a long haul flight at 9:30pm, 4 people and 4 suitcases. Will it be a struggle to get the AirTrain to Jamaica station and onto 42nd Street Subway. Is it referred to as '42nd Street' line?? Our hotel is on this street between 8th and 9th.

4 person and 4 suitcases, it might come all in a taxi, but there are limousine services that can be comfortable and not so expensive, the taxi costs $ 50, the limo $ 70, each bus trip to Grand Terminal $ 15
At this time I do not recommend taking the train, save a few dollars, you can take the shock of living in or traveling to Manhattan uneasy.

Four of you can share a taxi which will take you direct to your hotel, cost is flat rate $45+tolls+tip. The subway to take at Jamaica Station is the E subway, which runs from Jamaica Center to World Trade Center, get off at 42nd St/Port Authority (at 8th Ave) and walk west on 42nd St 1/2 block to your hotel. It will cost $7.25 per person for AirTrain and subway.

We arrive on Jet Blue at Terminal 5-6 at 5:06 pm and depart Delta for Amman Jordan in terminal 4 at 8:40 pm. Can we walk to the terminal or do we use the Air Train? How long is the walk and ride? Is the Air Train above or below ground? Do we have to go through security again in terminal 4?

You can walk between the two terminals however with luggage it's best to take AirTrain, which is above ground, take any train on track 2 one stop from T5 to T4, takes less than a minute. You will need to clear security at T4.

Hi there,

I am coming to New York soon and am wondering what the most economical way to get from JFK to East Harlem is. Would that be via AirTrain?

Yes, $7.25 for AirTrain/subway. Take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to E subway to Lexington/53rd St, transfer to the uptown #6 subway to 125th St/Lexington Ave.

can i rent a luggage cart from the airport because i have 3 suitcases are they allowed on Airtrain ?

Yes

I am arriving the next november 3rd to JFK airport around 9:30 pm , I would like to know how I take the air train form American terminal to get to Howard Beach in order to link to the subway

In the America terminal (T8) follow the signs to AirTrain and take the train on track 1 going to Howard Beach.

Hiya

I am coming to New York next week and I need to get to Penn Station, how do I get there via train from JFK?

Take AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station and then either LIRR (faster, more comfortable, overhead luggage racks) or E subway (cheaper) to Penn Station.

What is the most economical way to travel from 10th Ave. in Midtown Manhattan to Mastic? Can I use AirTrain?
