Taxi will take you direct, cost around $30. You can also take AirTrain/subway for $7.25; take AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, take inbound E subway to Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Hts, take Flushing/Main St-bound #7 subway to end at Main St. Hotel is a few blocks away.

Can someone tell me best ways to get from Cruise Terminal Brooklyn to JFK?
Looking at map there doesn't seem to be a train nearby.
Also from the hotel 14th st (near 8th)to cruise terminal?
Phil

The closest subway is the F/G station at Carroll St. and a fairly long walk but doable (walk west on Carroll to the end at Van Brunt St., left on Van Brunt, right on Bowne St. to terminal at Imlay St.). Best bet it to take a taxi to/from the terminal.

What is F/G ? Is that the name of the station Station?
How far would it be from that station to the terminal or how long to walk it?

Our hotel is on 14th St between 8th and 9th.
What Subway Station would we take to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal? And what line?

Also, will need to get from terminal to JFK, I should imagine it would be hopeless trying to get a taxi with hundreds of cruise passengers trying to do the same?

The F/G are the subway lines that serve that station and the station name is Carroll St., so if you take the subway from your Manhattan hotel go to the subway station at 8th Ave/14th St. and take any Brooklyn-bound A or C subway to Jay St/Borough Hall and transfer there to the Coney Island-bound F subway to Carroll St. Walking distance to the cruise terminal is about 1/2 mile, probably 20 minutes, or maybe you can grab a taxi. There are normally lots of taxis at the cruise terminal for arriving passengers but yes, you may encouter a long line. You can take the subway to JFK from there; just go back to the Carroll St. subway station, take the inbound F subway to Jay St/Borough Hall and transfer to the Far Rockaway-bound A subway (do NOT take the A subway marked Lefferts Blvd as it will not take you to JFK) to Howard Beach, then take AirTrain from there to all terminals.

Hello, I will arrive to JFK Nov 13th and want to go to Penn station, is there a shuttle that takes me directly?
How much does ist cost?

Thanks.

The NYAS express bus to Penn Station is located at ground transportation and runs every 20-30 minutes, cost is $15.

I arrive on a flighton Sunday 31st ahead of a group of 15 who land a couple of hours later. I have been tasked with purchasing metro cards for everyone and meeting them off their flight. I understand I need to take an airport shuttle to the nearest place I can buy the cards. Can I then take the shuttle back to the airport? How long will it take round trip? Thank you in advance, Caitlin

You may be able to purchase Metrocards at terminal 4. If not you can take AirTrain to either Jamaica Station or Howard Beach Station, purchase the cards there at one of the self-service machines BEFORE the AirTrain exit turnstiles and return to terminals on AirTrain at no charge.

Hi there,

I would like to get to my hotel on 226 West on 52nd street from JFK airport on the 1st Nov around 1500hrs (3pm) afternoon....could some kindly assist me in how & what would be the best way to get there?? as this is my first time to NYC!

Cheers,

Taxi will take you direct, $45+tolls+tip. ONLY take the NYC yellow taxi at ground transportation, do not accept offers from others as they will rip you off. By AirTrain/subway ($7.25); take AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to E subway to 7th Ave/53rd St, walk south one block on 7th Ave to 52nd St, turn right to your hotel just past the next intersection with Broadway .

I will be arriving at JFK on Nov. 9, 2010 and need to go to Northport, Long Island. Is there a shuttle service available? I will have a large duffle and do not think that I can take the Air Train and LIRR. How much would it cost?
