I will be arriving at JFK via Jet Blue on December 11th at 8:40am and need to be in Manhatten by noon. Public transportation (underground) seems like the quickest given traffic at that time of year. I've read on line that a bus is not necessary and you can walk to the commuter rail (200 ft) from the Airtrans stop. Is this correct? I will not be carrying any luggage.

You can take AirTrain on track 1 from your terminal to Jamaica Station, from there you have a few alternatives depending on where in Manhattan you are heading; E subway to midtown (west along 53rd St and then down 8th Ave to lower Manhattan-World Trade Ctr), J subway to lower Manhattan and LIRR to Penn Station (33rd St/7th & 8th Aves).

Hi! I want to get from JFK Airport to La Quinta Inn, Long Island City, NY.11101 (at Queens). We are landing at terminal 4

Take AirTrain on 3rd floor of T4 to Jamaica Station, transfer to the E subway to Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Hgts, transfer to the inbound #7 subway to 33rd St/Rawson St. Walk 1/2 block to Queens Blvd and turn right, go about five blocks to the hotel. You can also take a taxi direct to hotel from JFK, fare is about $35.

Thank you for the information. It is very useful.
Bless!

My wife and i will arrive into JFK and want to get to Newark airport Ramada hotel. Can you suggest which train to catch and which stations we need to transfer at.

thanks

Take JFK AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to LIRR to Penn Station, transfer to NJ Transit-Northeast Corridor train to Newark Airport Station, take Newark Airport AirTrain to any terminal and catch the hotel shuttle. If the hotel shuttle will pick you up at Newark-Penn Station then you can get off there without having to go to Newark Airport.

Hi,I am arriving at terminal 3 (8:30am, Oct 29th) and going to 828 Second Avenue. Pls help with directions, thank you. Also, how long will it take approx?

I will be going to NYC next week, my hotel is 1 mile off 33rd Street/Rawson Subway Station, how do I get there from JFK airport?

Taxi from JFK will take you direct to the hotel, probably around $30-$35. By subway; take AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, take E subway to Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Hts and transfer to the inbound #7 subway to 33rd St/Rawson, cost for AirTrain/subway is $7.25. You may be able to catch a taxi from subway to the hotel or ask if the hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up at the subway to save you a long walk.

I am arriving at jfk on nov 17th virgin american flight at 3:30pm,what will be the easiest and the cheapest way to get to somewhere closest to north brunswick.i am travelling with two hand caryy bags, and a three yr old.

My husband and brother in law need transportation instructions on how to get to Manhattan from the JKF Plaza hotel.

Mary, you have several options, but still 2 people that travel, it is best to take a taxi directly, since there is little that will save on bus and you're going to lose a couple of hours of time, the taxi does not reach $ 50 bus and I are 15 per person, you have to agree upon or clarify what they will charge you in the taxi, the living are always taking advantage of the newly lowered.

I am landing at JFK on Sunday and wondering the best way to get to Maiden Lane in Lower Manhatten

Taxi is direct, flat rate $45+tolls+tip. You can take a variety of subways to lower Manhattan with stops not far from Maiden Ln., best route is: take AirTrain from terminal to Howard Beach Station, take A subway to Broadway/Nassau (Fulton St.), Maiden Lane is two blocks south.
