There are 8 operating airline terminals At JFK Airport, Terminals 1 to 8. Terminals are located around the central terminal area (CTA). The terminals and parking lots in the central terminal area are divided into five areas.

It is a very tight connection. You will have to recheck your bags in order to pass U.S customs in NYC. Hopefully your first flight be on time or second one little delayed. Use air train on the 3rd floor to transfer between terminals.
Not having checked bags will
Not having checked bags will speed your process. After you clear immigration and customs you have two options:
- if you have DL boarding pass already head to the third floor of T4 and take Airtrain on track 2;get off next stop - T3.
- if you don't have DL boarding pass go to the fourth floor of T4 and get one from row #5(Delta counters) then you can take Airtrain to T3.
Having boarding pass on time is very important since Delta will not issue you one if you have less than 45mins to departure.

My daughter arrives today at 14:52 at JFK gate 28 on Delta 132 flight from SFO. Then she has to continue her Jurney on flight Delta 132 to Athens, Greece International airport. Her flight departs at 16:20 from terminal 3. Does she have adequate time? Hoa can she go there? Does she have to go through security?

If it does arrive on terminal 2 she will have to use air train to get to terminal 3. It is fast and easy and it is located on the 3rd floor of terminal 2.

2. All she has to do after she disembarks the plane is to look for the gate number for the flight to Athens. The flight will depart either from Terminal 2 or 3.
3. No need to clear security again since Terminals 2 and 3 are connected behind security.
4. No need to use Airtrain to get from Terminal 2 to 3.
5. Terminal 2 consists of ONLY 2 floors - no third floor there.

I have read in the news that Germany closed its main airports and canceled many cross Atlantic and European flight so yes you might be right the airport could be closed.

Is the way between this terminals requires getting out of the terminal or is there an internal pathway?

You can use Air train to get from one terminal to another and yes it is inside.

When it comes to Delta , they can shift their flights between one of their three terminals-T2,T3 or T4.
You can use also flightstats.com which offers pretty accurate information regarding the flights.
If you are traveling to
If you are traveling to France via Air France you should go to terminal 1. If you are traveling via Delta then it is terminal 3 or 4. As far as more information about airlines and from which terminals they depart or arrive you can find those on this website by simply clicking terminal number. Just above all the comments you can see all the airlines that depart and arrive from that particular terminal.
