1.Immigration may take you up to one hour.
2. No there are not.
3. She will have to pick up her luggage and pass it through U.S Customs and then recheck them again with American Airlines at terminal 8.
4. You can ask porter for some help.
5. No there is not.

Hi,
I'm arriving from Kwait city by Kuwait airways at 15.50 and need to catch a connecting flight from terminal 3 to Orlando,FL by delta Air at 17.20.
Since I'm an international passenger so I need to clear immigration and security. Is 1h and 30m enough for clearing the immigration and security and then commute to terminal 3 and catch the connecting flight in time ?
I'll really appreciate your advice.

I cant deny that this is a very tight connection. It is also a possible connection as long as your flight from Kuwait City to JFK New York is on time. You will arriving at terminal 4. Use air train on the third floor of terminal 4. It will take you to terminal 3 in less than 5 minutes.

I am traveling from LAX to JFK, will be arriving at Terminal 3. My connection is from JFK to Amsterdam from Terminal 4.

Will I have to go through security again when I transfer from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4? I have a 1hr 40 min scheduled layover in JFK.

I am going to ask Delta to do a through check in of my luggage; I just wanted to confirm that I wont have to go through security again. I am assuming I can just hop on the tram and get from terminal 3 to terminal 4.

You will have to clear security at terminal 4 prior to your flight. Your time frame is OK as long as your first flight from LA is on time. You can ask Delta at LA to transfer your luggage to your final destination to Amsterdam,Holland.

Since you are arriving at T3 and connecting at T4 you can proceed to gate 11 at T3 and take the free Delta shuttle to T4. It will take you there in 5 min and you don't have to clear security.
Feel free to ask any Delta employee about the details.

I will travel from cairo to newyork then i ll take another domestic flight to raliegh durham air port ,can i ask about having my lagguge in RDU air port directly without picking them in jfk air port and re chick in to RDU air port? and how many bags are allowed ?

You can ask them for you luggage to be transfered all the way to your final destination but keep in mind that you still have to pick up your bags upon arrival in the U.S and check them through U.S Customs. I believe one suitcase and one carry on bag is allowed otherwise for an extra luggage you would have to pay.

Hi,

I travelled from JFK to Bangalore via Doha on Dec 08th 2010 in Flight QR 84. The ticket number is 157 1737782077. As my baggage was excess, I had paid excess baggage fees for both my checked in luggages amounting to USD 100 in total. While I was handed over the receipt in JFK, I misplaced the same. Could you please help me procure a duplicate invoice copy.

Regards,

Vijay

You can try to talk to your airlines (Qatar Airways?) and see if they can get you the copy of your receipt.

My cousin is arriving from Cairo to JFK on a Tuesday flight coming in at 3:25 pm. She is not an American citizen but has been approved for her green card and from what I understand she will be stamped with it upon arrival. Pending her flight is not delayed, can she make a 6:35 pm flight at LGA? How long does it take a new green card holder to get through customs? Will it take her longer to get through versus someone else since she was already approved for the green card in Cairo but receiving it upon arrival in immigration here? We will be picking her up from JFK and dropping her off at LGA.

It will be very tight. The whole process such as Immigration and Customs (He is arriving by Egyptair from Cairo Egypt on an international flight) might take him up to 2 hours. The process is quicker as far as immigration is concerned when a person is U.S citizen versus a green card holder, or a tourist visa holder. Then you will most likely dodge traffic on your way to LGA. Lets hope that your first flight is on time and second one from LGA is little delayed. That might help.

JFK Specialist, JFK Specialist....you keep on giving those people wrong info. This is what we don't get it - you try so hard to "help" them but at the same time misinform them. Let's get this straight - if you are not 100%sure about the answer,do not jump and misinform people.
Green card holders entering USA first time will spend at least 3 hours in immigration. There is tremendous amount of paperwork involved, fingerprinting and verification procedures. This is one case of exception of the "2 hours rule" in JFK. Furthermore, given the fact that the flight arrives in busiest time for T4, at least 4 hours in immigration is fair to predict.
Therefore, we will suggest the passenger to consider his second flight.

I was dropping off my relatives last night. We got a Sky cap to help and it says very clearly on their cart $1 per bag. But he said he was charging us $10 for 4 bags. How is it that they can set their own prices and rip people off like that?

They get payed less than $7 dollars per hour guess is 3.50.... So they do money like that
