On my first visit to NY i want to use the Airtraine for transfer to my hotel at 30th street, Manhattan - how long is the transfer time. Do i need to change for Subway?

Take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station. Transfer to E subway to 34th St./Penn Station or LIRR to Penn Station. You can walk south on 7th or 8th Aves to 30th St. and then either east or west to your hotel. Travel time by AirTrain/subway is about 1.25 hours, by LIRR is a little faster, maybe 45 minutes depending on time of day. As a first time visitor my advice would be to take a NYC yellow taxi from Ground Transportation directly to your hotel to avoid any confusion taking public transit.

Use taxi please.

I will have 1.5hrs to transfer from an international flight (Cathay Pacific -Terminal 8) to domestic flight (Jetblue- Terminal 5)

I arrive around 9pm and my Jetblue flight leaves at 10.45 for Bos. Assuming the flights are on schedule, is it possible?

This is a tight connection as you will need to clear customs, which can take up to one hour depending on how busy they are, transfer terminals via AirTrain and clear security.

How can I do to go from terminal 8 to terminal 4??

Take AirTrain on track 2 from T8 to T4.

Can somebody help me? I am from South Africa and will be landing at JFK on 12 June 2011. From there I need to travel to 125 Vernon Ave< Brooklyn. What wil be the best way?

Where is 125 Vernon Ave. located? Need to know to give you accurate instructions.
