Yes it is and the cheapest! Not bad of a ride as I do the same from Brooklyn to JFK.

Hoping to find out if a 6hr 50min layover is long enough to travel into Times Square and be back for an international flight?
If so, what is the fastest way to get there and back?
Thank-you!

Fastest way is to get yellow cab(flat $50.50)- for about 40-50 mins. You can also use NY Airporter express bus - it takes around 50mins to 1hr to get there for about $16 per passenger.

Hi All. Got a 4 hour wait in JFK before my connecting flight! Any ideas or suggestions you can recommend to keep my 2 girls, aged 7 and 3 occupied for a couple of hours??? Thanks for the help!

You can always to go to snack and coffee shops and buy something to eat and relax before your connecting flights. All of those are present at every terminal at JFK Airport.

Can a NY local please confirm if 1 of the trains on the Airtrain network at JFK goes in the opposite direction to the other? Need to transfer from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3 and don't want to go the whole way round if I can help it? Many thanks!

That is exactly what happens at the following stops-T1,T2/T3,T4,T5/T6,T7 and T8 - the trains on track 1 are moving in opposite direction to the trains on track 2.
For you to get from T4 to T3, you have to take the train on track 2 ONLY.

One of the air trains will take you outside the airport and the other one will take you to terminals. Follow the signs on the boards.

Hi - this is the first time I will be taking the air train and subway from JFK. How do I get from JFK to East 86th St and about how long will this take?

airtrain to Jamaica, subway e to Lex then subway 6 to e86,takes around 1hr 25 mins

AirTrain always says it takes 35 minutes to do the combination of LIRR from Penn Station to Jamaica and then AirTrain to the terminal. I am going to American Airlines which is Terminal 8. Does this mean I need to allow more time? How much to allow please?

allow 10,15 mins more

This is the first time I'm taking the Airtrain to JFK. Which Airtrain do I take and which Terminal# is for Asiana Air?

Any airtrain at Jamaica station or Howard beach station. Get off at T4 for Asiana.

Asiana Air is at terminal 4. Take air train on track 2.
