I have booked a flight from SFO to Europe (VIA JFK) and I want to know if I have enough time to change the planes... It is an American Airlines connecting flight, arrival at 5:25 PM (from SFO) and next flight is at 6:40PM.... so there is only 1:15 time between... is this enough time to catch the connecting flight??? :) thx

Terminal 4 to Terminal 2
We are coming to terminal 4 of JFK from India. We will be having checked luggage to collect at JFK. I understand we have to complete customs and immigration at JFK. We have 3 hours time to catch a Delta flight to Los Angeles from terminal 2. Are there any check in counters for Delta in Terminal 4 where we can drop our check in luggage? Can you give us all necessary information for moving quickly from terminal 4 to terminal 2?

Easiest and quickest is by taxi; flat fare $45+tolls+tip. Cheapest is by AirTrain/subway $7.75; take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station and transfer to E subway to 42nd St./Port Authority. Times Square is one block east on 42nd St.
Directns to Air Train Jamaica from CT
I am coming from CT over Whitestone (correct?) to pick up my son who arrives El AL, Term 4, next Wed AM.
I'd like him to try the Air Train from Term 4 to Jamaica or another outlying station where I can park, and wait for him. Is Jamaica the station to get him at?
He'll have two large bags. I've driven to JFK term 4 before but wanted to try the Air Train pickup to cut traffic and make wait easier.
Is it easier for him to take Air Train to Lefferts Blvd or to Jamaica? Does he have to change Air Trains to do so? What exit do I take to get him at the Air Train station? Thank you.

Do not choose Jamaica
Do not choose Jamaica Station for that purpose - it is very congested there and hard to park and wait. Lefferts Blvd is better choice.
I would recommend you to go to cellphone parking lot(it is free as long as you remain in the car) and once your son is in, swing around T4 and pick him up.
And, yes, taking I-95 from CT it will lead you to Whitestone bridge and then Wan Wyck Expwy(I-678) all the way to JFK.

Terminal 4 (Air India) to terminal 8 (American Eagle)
Hi,
I will be reaching JFK from India at T4 in 3 hours from now. I require direction to go to the terminal 8 to board an American eagle flight to Cleveland. Also I have a severe back problem and cannot carry my own luggages. Is there any kind of help available so that I can check in my luggages at T4 itself so that I dont have to carry them to T8. Thanks in advance

Ask for so called skycaps -
Ask for so called skycaps - they will help you with the bags. After you done with re-checking the bags at T4, go to the third floor and take any train;T8 is exactly 3 stops away(~3mins).

Take Airtrain on track 1 to Federal Circle station. Hertz is located on the first floor. They do not operate shuttle to/from terminals.
