Hi there,

I would like to know how long it is likely to take to get through security/collect bags etc to the taxis once we land at terminal 8? Our flight is due in at 12.45pm (from manchester UK)and i have a taxi booked from 1.30 to take us to Times Square. They charge if they have to wait for a long period.

Please could someone help? I know with some airports it can be fairly rapid but i have never flown to JFK before.

You may be cutting is just a bit close. There are always taxis waiting outside of JFK. I don't see the need to reserve one, unless you are talking about a car company.

Is there parking at Terminal 8? If not, what is the closest and how long would it take to get from there to Terminal 8?

I will be arriving from Paris by Air France at 6.40 pm at JFK.I have to catch the flight to Tampa by Delta at 8.30 pm.
Will I be able to catch the flight after clearing immigration and Customs,how long does it take to clear these?
How long will it take to change the terminals from International of AirFrance to Domestic Delta and plz let me know the route to reach Delta Airlines to catch the flight to tampa ?

Where to check in my baggage for Delta after customs ?

Hi there,

I will be arriving to T8 from Boston (AA4441 at 18.25 and need to connect to T4 to catch flight to SCL at 20.00 by Lan Airlines.

1) Do I have enough time to catch the connecting flight?

2) Which is the quickest way to get from T8 to T4?

we arrive at terminal 7, the rest of the family at terminal 4. is it easy to walk from 7 to 4? what is the distance?

My daughter was on a flight from jfk to madrid on 6/4/2011 on iberia and her luggage is still missing. is there a number for terminal 7 directly to see if it is still at jfk?

I will be returning from Milan, Italy on American Airlines and landing at JFK on a Sunday at 1:35pm. My flight from from JFK to Boston on Delta (I think that is terminal 3, please verify) leaves at 4:00pm. After reading other comments, it appears that I will have enough time for the connection if there are no delays. My questions are: 1) What is the fastest way to get from one terminal to the next and 2) in the event I do miss my flight, where do I go to find the fastest/cheapest way to get home?

Hi, My daughter is flying in from Finland as an unaccompanied minor and I will pick her up at JFK Terminal 8. Does anybody know if there is a separate room where I can get her or will she be brought out through the normal exit after custom?

Hi,

I am travelling from Detroit to JFK (T3) via DELTA and then from JFK T1 to Paris on AF. The transit time is 1 hour 30 minutes. I understand that my luggage will be checked in through to Paris.

1. How much time will it take to move from T3 to T1?
2. Do I have to go through Security & Customs in JFK?

Yes, terminal 8 allows "legal connections" of 45
minutes.

Just a quick question-I cant seem to find the information on this website.We will be arriving at JFK T4 next weekend and need to get to T8 for an AA flight to Canada.What is the best way Air Train? and also is there a general Transit area or would we have to go through customs as we are not staying in the US?Thanks

the ONLY way to get from T4 to T8 other than an airport bus is the airtrain, which is free inside the airport. in T4 the station is located "within" the terminal building, after customs. everyone who enters the US from another country must clear immigration and customs. The ride from T4 to T8 should be less than 5 minutes. Arrival time at your departure gate in T8 is probably around 30 minutes including check-in and security. provided your flight is not at one of the busiest times morning or late afternoon, you should find all transitions smooth, although there is probably about .75km of walking involved, all told.
