Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK.
T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century.
T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world.
T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America.
T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually.
T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year.
T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station.
T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.

From terminal 4 to terminal 1
Hello,
I will arrive tomorrow ,13.30, at terminal 4, i need to wait my friend that arrive at JFK at terminal 1 at 18.40.
My first question is how long does it take from t.4 to t.1 ?
The second is, if i have the chance to go to see something around outside the airport, maybe rockway beach or jamaica bay..somethin interesting while i am waiting for my friend to come.
To do so, i will leave the luggage in a deposit, paying, and coming back on time to collect my friend after the arrival at terminal 1.
Is it feasible?

There is really NOTHING
There is really NOTHING around the jfk airport, except the wildlife area. I do not recommend leaving the airport. Jamaica Bay has no developed beaches, and the other beaches require a train ride to Rockaways'....

I arrive in Terminal 4 from an Aer Lingus flight from Ireland which arrives in JFK at 15.35 i have a flight to catch from terminal 7 with United Airlines at 17.29, Whats the fastest way do get there and do i have enough time?? Thanks
Yes you do have an OK time
Yes you do have an OK time frame. Once you arrive at terminal 4 from Ireland take an air train on the 3rd floor of terminal 4 on track 1 to terminal 7. It should take about a minute.

I have a friend flying in
I have a friend flying in from russia to terminal 4 flight un 1111 on Saturday July 9. She doesnt speak English well and will be very nervous. I will get to jfk 2 hours before her flight arrives. Where is the closest place I can park and also...where will I meet her? At customs ? Baggage claim ? Am I allowed these areas to meet her ? I've never been to jfk. I'm sure I can find my way around but she will be very nervous I want to greet her as quickly as possible. Thanks for anyone willing to help!

After clearing Customs and Immigration she will be headed to terminal 4 arrivals hall where all drivers are located to pick their passengers and it is by the Welcome Center. It is located on the 1st floor of terminal 4.

How to comfortably travel from JFK Terminal 4 to Terminal 3 with two big luggage bags ?

I can't walk from Terminal 4 to 3 with my trolley carrying the two luggage bags.
Is there a service at the airport that someone help me carry my bags from terminal 4 to terminal 3?

Travel from Terminal 4 to terminal 3
I need to travel from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3 to catch a connecting flight of Delta Airlines to Rochester. I have two big luggage bags. Can I walk from Terminal 4 to 3 with my trolley carrying the two luggage bags ? If I walk do I have to cross any road with dangerous traffic ?
If I use the AirTrain on track 2 to go to Terminal 3, are there Airport personnel to help me get my luggage on and off the train ?

You can take a luggage cart on AirTrain between terminals. I wouldn't walk between terminals.
Regarding luggage cart on AirTrain
What is exactly the luggage cart ? Will the luggage function like a trolley and help me to carry my luggage bags with me inside the AirTrain ?
