Hi, I'm arriving tomorrow eve at terminal 3 (Delta flight).... Which is the best way to quickly get to Terminal 7? As I have to catch a BA flight to London in a very tight time-frame. Thanks! Matteo

From terminal 3 take an air train on track 1 to terminal 7. One minute free trip.

thank you! :)

Good morning,

on the 30th of July I'll be landing at JFK from Seattle at 3.15 pm (Delta DL 202) and - after only 1h15m layover - I will take the following flight at 4.30 pm (Delta DL198 to Valencia - Spain).
Hoping the first flight will be on time, may you tell me:

1) if I need to do a second check in before boarding on the Delta flight to Valencia?

2) if both flights are at the same Terminal? If not, the faster way to move between the two terminals?

Gianluca Fiorelli

1) Since both flights are on Delta your bags will be clipped to your final destination.
2) Both flights should take place at the same terminal.
In a worse case scenario Delta has three terminals 2/3 and 4. If you leave from terminal 4 then take any train on track 1 to terminal 4 and track 2 to go back.

Your bags should be checked through to Valencia at Seattle check-in and you should also get boarding passes for both flights. Your Seattle arrival and Valencia departure should be from the same terminal (T2 and T3 are both Delta and are connected), should be a short walk between gates.

Hi,

this sunday the 24th I'll be landing at JFK with the flight Delta DL199 at 12.59 pm from Valencia and I have to take the flight to Seattle (DELTA DL203) the same day at 3.35 pm.

May I ask you if both flights are at the same Gate (something it is not that clear to me). If not the best way to move from the arrival gate and the new departure one?

Finally, do I need to check in again when landed at the JFK airport and before taking the flight to Seattle?

Thank you

Gianluca Fiorelli

It is required for all international travelers to clear Customs and Immigration since arriving from outside the U.S. If both flights take place at the same terminal you are looking at a walking distance between one gate and the other. Your bags should be clipped to your final destination but keep in mind you still have to pick them up and clear them through Customs and recheck them with Delta for your second flight.

You will need to clear US customs on arrival at JFK before your flight to Seattle. Ask Valencia Delta check-in if your bags will be tagged to Seattle and if you will get boarding passes for both flights, if so when you exit customs take your bags to the Delta connecting flights counter then proceed upstairs to the departure level to clear security and to the gates. If not you will need to re-check bags and get boarding pass at Delta-JFK.

I'm flying BA177 to JFK which arrives at 3.40pm at Terminal 7. I then have to clear immigration/customs, pick up my bags and go to Terminal 5 to check-in my bags for my connecting flight to San Jose on Jetblue at 5.59pm. Do I have enough time? What is the minimum flight connection time needed?

You have a good time frame between the flights. For a comfortable connecting time between the flights is 2 hours which is the case in your situation. I am sure that you will be fine. From terminal 7 arrivals hall take a walk across the street to to the next building take an elevator up take any air train on track 2 to terminal 5.

Minimum is 2 hours, so if your BA arrival is on time you should be ok. Take AirTrain on track 2 from T7 to T5.

My family and I are flying from Washington National on Air Berlin (operated by American Airlines---flight AB5758,Q)---arriving at 16:10. We are to connect at JFK flying Air Berlin to Berlin, Germany (departing at 17:25 on AB7249,Q). Will be able to make this flight---it seems awfully tight. And will we be at the same terminal? Thanking you in advance for your help in this matter.

You will make that flight as long as first flight from Washington arrives on time. Both flights will take place at terminal 8. Before you depart for JFK make sure your bags are clipped all the way to your final destination and make sure you have boarding passes printed out.

Hi. I will be arriving via Sydney, from Auckland, to terminal 3 on V Australia, and then flying out from same terminal Virgin America to New York. Will I need to collect my bags in LA and recheck them on to NYC? Or will they go straight through? Thanks, Sue
